In recent years,with the increasing attention paid to educational informatization,many educators start to incorporate different types of technologies into class.This background to some extent catalyzes the emergence of smart education and smart class.The aim of smart class is to facilitate wisdom development of students,with the infusion of technologies and pedagogy.It involves the improvement in different aspects,such as individual learning abilities,and the capacity of cooperation and communication.It can be seen that smart class is believed to be an effective way to improve the quality of education.However,some researchers have negative attitude toward whether smart class indeed makes teaching process more efficient.Considering the impressive cost of smart class building,and the consecutive endeavor that teachers should make,it is necessary to delve into the effectiveness of smart class.This research is focused on the use of smart class in high school geography class,taking teachers'interview,students'questionaire,and experiment into consideration.The purpose is to investigate the value of smart class in different aspects.It focuses on nature geography,humanity geography and review for college entrance exam respectively in each year of geography education in high-school period.This research investigated the experience and opinions of teachers and students from different grades.It was found that smart class provided diverse teaching methods,increased students'individual learning abilities,facilitated students'and teachers'mutual communication,and improved students'academic performance.However,it was also concluded that problems still existed in everyday teaching process.For instance,teachers' familiarity of smart classroom technologies needs to be improved,and the use of these technologies should be creative.Therefore,in the end of the research,some suggestions are provided.It is emphasized that the use of smart class should be more reasonable,and it is important to build corresponding evaluation system.
