The Chinese curriculum standards for senior high school(2017 edition)issued by the Ministry of Education mentioned "thinking development and improvement" as one of the four elements of the core quality of Chinese disciplines.A learning task group with the theme of "critical reading and expression" is set up in the curriculum content section.Therefore,the cultivation of students' critical thinking ability is one of the core tasks that teachers face in teaching.Based on the cultivation of senior high school students' critical thinking ability,the research on the teaching of contemporary literature reading is an active exploration for teachers to help students learn to analyze and question,to interpret in multiple ways and to improve students' level of rational thinking.With its broad vision,diverse perspectives and profound thoughts,contemporary literature reading teaching can improve students' reading interest,impact students'thinking cognition,and shape students' rational thinking.Therefore,it is an important practice worth trying to integrate students' thinking ability into current text reading teaching.This thesis mainly discusses the specific strategies of Contemporary literature reading teaching and the cultivation of high school students' critical thinking ability.And it consists of the following three parts:The first part:in the form of questionnaire survey,taking students of two classes of Grade Ten in ShuDe XieJin High School of Chengdu city as the objects of investigation,this part conducts data survey and problem analysis on the current situation of critical thinking ability training of high school students in contemporary literature reading.And problems are revealed---students' lack of awareness of questioning,learning initiative,problem analysis ability,and expressive language skills etc.Besides,this part makes attribution to this paper from three aspects:the learning subject---students,the learning object---teachers and the environment of reading teaching.The second part:The second and the third part are the core of this thesis.On the basis of the questionnaire survey,the author insists on the principles of selecting three kinds of reading resources based on the Chinese curriculum standards,selecting high-quality materials and making those materials adapted to the age characteristics of students.And the author also discusses the strategies of the development of the high school reading resources from the three principles of the selection of the reading resources and the two ways of the processing of the reading resources.The third part:this part focuses on the reading teaching strategies based on the cultivation of high school students' critical thinking ability.And this part also explores the ways to cultivate high school students' critical thinking ability through the classroom teaching record of "Wei Xiang Incident in Gansu Province" and the reflection of this teaching record.
