At present,the teaching of Chinese reading in China is still centered on the teaching of teachers,which is separated from the students'actual life,students' reading enthusiasm is not high,and it is difficult to adapt to the requirements of the new curriculum reform advocacy of students are the master of learning.Based on this situation,many researchers and front-line language teachers are working hard to explore new reading teaching methods——reading teaching under Project-based Learning,strive to break through the predicament of reading teaching,truly realize "learning by doing",and improve students'language literacy.This paper consists of three parts:introduction,text and conclusion.In the introduction part,the author elaborated the research background,research questions and significance of this article by using the literature research method,and summarized the research methods and research categories.The text consists of three chapters:The first chapter uses the literature research method to clarify the concept,theoretical basis,basic types and operation process of Chinese reading teaching in middle school under project-based learning;The second chapter explores the basic characteristics,implementation strategies,and evaluation mechanisms of reading teaching in the three types of journalism,poetry,and drama under project-based learning using the method of case analysis and model construction;The third chapter uses the method of speculative summarization to make in-depth thinking on Chinese reading teaching in middle school under project-based learning,finds out the meaning and shortcomings in its practical process,and proposes corresponding improvement strategies,continuously improve Chinese reading teaching in middle school under project-based learning.Through research on Chinese reading teaching in middle school under project-based learning,this paper finds that the practical implementation of Chinese reading teaching in middle school under project-based learning can help to change reading teaching methods,cultivate students 'practical ability,improve students' Chinese literacy,and then improve reading teaching quality.However,there are also many shortcomings in Chinese reading teaching in middle schools under project-based learning:lack of project plans,insufficient external support,and student cooperation in a formal way.Based on these shortcomings,the author proposes corresponding improvement strategies,including formulating a reasonable and clear project plan,co-constructing project learning through multi-party collaboration,and uniting group strengths based on the characteristics of students,in order to improve the effectiveness of middle school Chinese reading teaching under project-based learning.Although there are many shortcomings in Chinese reading teaching in middle sch ools under project-based learning,which need to be continuously improved,it is a new type of reading teaching method that meets the needs of educational development.
