This paper is based on the unified compilation version of Chinese textbooks.Its study focus is the teaching of common rhetorical figures in senior grades Chinese of the primary school.Statistics and analysis of the distribution of common rhetorical figures in selected texts from Chinese textbooks in senior grades Chinese of the primary school and the matching of the practice system provide a holistic understanding of the presentation of common rhetorical figures in these textbooks.On this basis,by sending questionnaires to teachers and students as well as summarizing teacher interviews,we learned that the following problems exist in teaching of rhetorical figures: teachers lack knowledge of rhetoric and pay little attention to it,and also use a single teaching method;while students' knowledge transfer ability is weak and they lack motivation to learn.Moreover,there is a lack of specific requirements and clear guidance in The Chinese Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2011 edition)and textbooks.Considering the above problems,this paper proposes corresponding strategies for the teaching of common rhetorical figures from the perspectives of teachers,students and group cooperation.Firstly,teachers should improve their professionalism and enrich their rhetorical knowledge;list key and challenging rhetorical figures along with compiling exercises to achieve the goal of understanding key knowledge points as well as supplementing textbook exercises;while also emphasizing reading,writing,and oral communication to enrich and actively expand their teaching methods.Secondly,students should independently develop their knowledge transfer ability,strengthen their reading ability,and accumulate language learning materials that they can use to practice their skills and improve the ability to apply their knowledge.Finally,they can also regularly collect relevant language materials and use group cooperation to make a learning portfolio for rhetorical figures.
