The "problem-solving" teaching model focuses on problem-oriented teaching, pays attention to the full play of the leadership of teachers and the role of students, emphasizes the development of students in the process of problem solving, and helps students construct knowledge and develop their abilities while solving problems. For a long time, scholars of adult higher education are actively exploring and innovating the teaching model that meets the learning characteristics of adult students and has adult characteristics. The "problem-solving" teaching model can not only help adult students acquire practical knowledge, but also promote adult students' development of comprehensive capabilities such as inquiry ability, cooperation ability and problem solving, and has provided support for the improvement of adult teaching quality. The application of the "problem-solving" teaching model in adult higher education teaching mainly focuses on the students and teachers of the continuing education colleges of three colleges and universities in Henan Province, and conducts related research and analysis through questionnaires, interviews and case analysis.Through the survey,it is found that some adult higher education teachers apply the "problem-solving" teaching model in teaching, but in general, the "problem-solving" teaching model is not ideal in the application of adult higher education teaching, and there are still certain problems. The main problems are: teachers' application awareness is not strong;teachers have some lack of application details;teachers have poor combination of teaching methods;inadequate development and use of online resources;students' problem-solving awareness is not strong;and teachers and students lack initiative. The main reasons for these problems are as follows, the teacher's educational concept is conservative;the teacher's inability to grasp the essence of the teaching model;the teacher's failure to choose a teaching method based on the actual teaching;the use of information technology in a form greater than the substance;the student is deeply affected by the “infusion” teaching;and the main role of teachers and students has not been fully exerted and etc.In order to improve the application effect of the "problem-solving" teaching model in adult higher education teaching,we should strive from the following aspects: teachers should improve application consciousness;teachers should strictly apply links;teachers should combine suitable teaching methods;achieve effective online and offline integration;students should continuously enhance their awareness and ability to solve problems;teachers and students should form a joint force. In addition,on the basis of the specific teaching cases of adult higher education, several points should be paid attention to in order to improve the effectiveness of the "problem-solving" teaching model: such as teachers should continuously improve their ability to apply the "problem-solving" teaching model;the "problem-solving" teaching model should avoid formalization;combine the "problem-solving" teaching model with a variety of teaching models;focus on cultivating students' problem awareness. The application of the "problem-solving" teaching model in adult higher education is promising. The author hopes that this study can make teachers and scholars in adult education deeply understand the meaning and value of the "problem-solving" teaching model, and continuously explore, develop and innovate adult teaching models in combination with teaching practice, and promote the development of adult education and the improvement of teaching quality,to cultivate more innovative and practical talents for the society.
