Analysis Of Factors Affecting Middle School Students' Interest In Geography Learning

In the new curriculum standard emphasizes independent learning puts forward higher requirements on middle school students' interest in learning,interest is the student improve desire and effort degree of an important factor,the students play a crucial role in the learning process,if you can improve the students' interest in learning in the teaching,give full play to the student's own initiative,will reach twice the result with half the effort.This paper firstly summarizes and analyzes the research status and achievements of geography learning interest at home and abroad.Using the questionnaire on geography learning interest points,2100 students from experimental middle school were surveyed.This paper uses Excel software to conduct statistical analysis on the survey results of middle school students' learning interest in geography.Through a series of data analysis,the author obtained the following results:(1)students' interest in geography is generally not high,and their interest in geography is due to the pressure of achievement.(2)students generally think that geography is difficult to understand because of its complex contents and diverse charts.(3)teachers' comprehensive quality and teaching style affect students' learning interest.The teacher is knowledgeable,the language is humorous most by the students like.(4)geography class affects learning interest.Multimedia teaching methods,songs,pictures,videos and other import methods are the most interesting to students.(5)colorful extracurricular activities in geography can better attract students.According to the research results,puts forward the following strategies to improve high school students' interest in geography study:(1)teachers:in-depth study of teaching materials,break the routine,reasonably adjust the content order of teaching materials,from easy to difficult,stimulate students'interest in geography learning,and at the same time,constantly improve their comprehensive quality,demonstrate their personal teaching charm,and actively carry out a variety of extracurricular activities in geography.(2)for students,they should promote their interest in geography learning,try to change their learning motivation,actively participate in extracurricular activities in geography,and get in touch with geography knowledge in many aspects.(3)schools and parents:schools should increase the basic investment,provide a platform for the smooth development of geography extracurricular activities,improve the degree of attention,and actively carry out a variety of campus publicity.(4)education administration department:provide teachers with rich teaching resources,advance the time for systematic study of geography courses,and guide students' interest in geography study.
