Sports schools are the bases for training talents with special sports skills for the country.With the continuous improvement of the level of competitive sports,sports schools have misunderstood the training of sports talents.It is believed that as long as sports skills are outstanding,the learning of cultural courses is secondary.The idea of"emphasizing athletics over humanism" can only cultivate athletes with "developed limbs and simple mind".With the progress of society and the development of the times,more and more athletes are required to have strong comprehensive qualities,not just outstanding sports skills.In order to effectively grasp the cultural learning of young athletes,further improve the cultural quality of athletes and promote the overall development of athletes,according to the spirit of relevant documents of the State Sports Administration,all provinces will carry out pre-competition cultural tests for all events of large-scale sports competitions,and those who fail to pass the tests will not participate in the competitions.A series of hard indicators show that cultural learning plays an irreplaceable role in athletes'personal growth and career development.But in the actual teaching,the students in sports schools will encounter many difficulties in the study of cultural courses because of the intensity of physical training and the irregular long-term outgoing training and competitions.Ningbo Sports School is a full-time secondary sports professional school,which belongs to one of the five key sports schools in Zhejiang Province.Teachers,coaches and students in sports schools are facing new challenges and opportunities in the information age and knowledge age.As a mathematics teacher in Ningbo Sports School,the author knows that mathematics is a basic subject,which plays an important role in students'study and life,as well as in their career development.Mathematics is also a tool subject.It is not easy to master it,especially for students in sports schools.However,the students in sports schools have a weak mathematical foundation and have a vague fear of mathematics,so the students in sports schools generally have poor mathematical performance.This paper will take Ningbo Sports School as the research object to investigate the current situation of mathematics teaching in this school.The main research methods used are:questionnaire survey method,actual observation method,literature method,data analysis method,the combination of theory and practice.Through these research methods,the present situation of mathematics teaching in Ningbo Sports School is investigated and analyzed,and the corresponding countermeasures are given.The study found that:First,the aim of the schoo's development is to "emphasize athletics and neglect humanities",and the time allocation between learning and training is uneven.Secondly,teachers'career development encounters a "bottleneck" period,which hinders their career development.Third,the teaching methods and means of mathematics are single,and there is no combination of physical education and teaching.Fourthly,students' resistance to mathematics learningFifth,coaches do not attach enough importance to students' mathematics learning and can not guide them correctly.Based on the above-mentioned problems found in mathematics teaching,the corresponding countermeasures are given:First,the balanced development of "teaching and training" in schools provides a broader platform for mathematics teachers.Second,the improvement of teachers' teaching methods:rational use of multimedia teaching;Control classroom discipline and cultivate students' good study habits;The combination of mathematics and sports can stimulate students' interest in learning.Pay attention to the induction and arrangement of knowledge.Third,students should set learning goals and strengthen their confidence in learning.Fourth,teachers should leave the team and coaches should follow their example to communicate with parents in a timely manner.
