Based on the requirements of the students' core literacy of Chinese subject,school develops the school-based curriculum based on its own educational philosophy and school conditions by utilizing local resources and school curriculum resources.Su Shi,as a literary giant in ancient China,has remarkable celebrity effect.The literary works Su shi wrote when dwelling in Danzhou carry strong local culture characteristics,and have high historical and cultural value that should be carefully inquired into.Hence,Su Shi' s poetry and prose compose an important part of Chinese knowledge acquisition in high schools.So,to incorporate Su Shi' s Danzhou works into the development of a school-based Chinese curriculum will not only refine students' mind and spirit,help them to improve their Chinese core literary,but can also promote to carry forward and further develop the local culture with distinctive characteristics.Through literature analysis and experience summarization,this thesis attempts to design and develop a school-based curriculum of“Su Shi in Danzhou”based on the actual situation and practice of teaching in the school where the author of this thesis works.The entire thesis is composed of four themed chapters.The introductory chapter mainly explains the reasons for this study,and the current developments in relevant research.Chapter one sets forth the basis of development and goal setting of the school-based curriculum "Su Shi in Danzhou".The basis of development includes policy support from the government,the practical significance of highlighting local cultural confidence,and students' interest in learning more about the historical story of Su Shi being banished to Danzhou,which provides a theoretical basis and practical meaning for the development of school-based curriculum.On such a basis,related curriculum goals are established focusing on the core literacy of Chinese learning in senior high.Chapter two discusses the selection of content from school-based curriculum "Su Shi in Danzhou",the standard of which should be determined around the curriculum goals.After reading works of Su Shi during his three years in Danzhou under banishment,such works are classified into different types and analyzed accordingly,and those of historical and cultural research value to Danzhou are analyzed from the perspective of psychological journey,regional scenery and custom,advocating cultural education and transforming social traditions.Curriculum content should be conceived and compiled according to the classified discussion of Su's poems and literary works in Danzhou.Chapter three deals with the teaching practice of school-based curriculum "Su Shi in Danzhou" from four aspects,namely curriculum organization,teaching strategies,teaching results and curriculum evaluation.Curriculum organization was to be arranged by the school as a whole;four teaching strategies have been extracted from practical teaching experience,and two specific cases of teaching achievements are presented;the criteria and mode of curriculum evaluation should be based on enhancement of students 'core literacy in Chinese learning.
