Mathematical observation ability is an essential ability in understanding mathematical concepts, acquiring mathematical skills, and solving mathematical problems. After combing the literature of "mathematical ability","observation ability",and "mathematical observation ability",this paper constructs a "mathematical observation mental activity model" based on information processing theory. This model divides the psychological activities of mathematical observation into three basic links:(1)information input:accept and translate new information, mobilize existing knowledge and experience;(2)information collation:classify information in a certain way;(3)Information processing:connect into deeper thinking process.Based on this model, combined with specific cases,it explains how to make mathematical observations on quantitative relationships and how to make mathematical observations on spatial forms.According to further analysis based on this model,it is concluded that the difference in mathematical observation ability is mainly caused by the difference in the ability to receive information, the ability to maintain information, and the quality of classification dimensions. In view of the current research methods adopted by researchers are simple and the lack of reliability of the questionnaire due to the confusion of concepts,an in-depth and detailed analysis and tracking of 8 research subjects was conducted to highlight the opinions of case evaluators.Comparative analysis between cases trying to get general education rules about mathematical observation ability. |
