The survival and development of a nation depends on its strong national cohesion and nationalism.To carry forward the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation is to protect the spiritual wealth of the people in the new era.Chinese traditional music culture has a long history and is the foundation and source of modern music creation,while Chinese traditional folk songs are the precious music cultural heritage left by the Chinese people from generation to generation.Chinese compulsory education includes two stages:primary school and junior high school.It is necessary to carry forward and inherit Chinese traditional culture in basic education.It is the basic requirement of music education to carry out folk song education in primary and secondary schools.This paper will focus on three chapters:the curriculum concept of Chinese traditional folk songs in the music education of primary and secondary schools,the current situation of Chinese traditional folk songs in the music education of primary and secondary schools,as well as the teaching practice and strategy.The first chapter will combine the basic concepts,objectives and contents of the curriculum in the music curriculum standard of compulsory education(2011 Edition)to spread Chinese traditional folk songs in the compulsory education stage The second chapter takes the classroom teaching of Chinese traditional folk songs in Xingwan School of Suzhou Industrial Park as an example to investigate and interview the teaching situation of traditional folk songs in music education of primary and secondary schools,and to sort out and classify the Chinese traditional folk songs in the music teaching materials of primary and secondary schools(Jiangsu Education Edition)used in the area,so as to explore the practical problems In the third chapter,the author puts forward four teaching strategies of "feeling","song","creation" and"transmission" for the teaching of traditional folk songs in the middle and primary school music classroom based on the teaching experience during the practice and the teaching situation combined with his own teaching perception,hoping to provide the Chinese traditional folk songs in the middle and primary school music education The teaching method of "music" provides the supplement of theoretical basis and makes a little contribution to the promotion of traditional music culture.
