Within the development of key competency's research in recent years,many international organizations and countries have regarded key competency as a key point of education and curriculum reforming.In the same way,there are an upsurge of research on the theory and practice of key competency in China,the education world has put the cultivation of students' key competency on an unprecedented level,which has caused a heap of academic discussions and practical changes.How to accommodate the cultivated goal of key competency,applying it in specific subject teaching,and carrying out effective curriculum construction has become a problem that concerns all educators.Fine art is a subject that cultivates affection,perfects character and improves creativity.It also has the function of cultural inheritance and innovation.As an important part of Chinese painting,heavy-color painting has a long history and has distinct national cultural attribute.However,it has long been ignored due to the changes of ideology and aesthetic concept.Although there are signs of its revival in recent years,it seldom appear in the fine art's teaching works of primary and secondary schools.Therefore,by doing the literature research of key competency,heavy-color painting,this paper summarizing the progress on research and analysis of the school-based curriculum,under the key competency cultivation concept and guidance of relevant education teaching theory,developing and utilizing the resources of Chinese traditional heavy-color painting,co-operation enquiry-based unitary teaching method,and making heavy-color painting course suits the junior high school's fine art curriculum and doing teaching-practice.During the research,this paper analyzing the compulsory education curriculum standards of fine art,the fine art teaching materials of junior high school,and interviews of fine art teachers,the positive significance and existed problems of heavy-color painting into junior high school fine art courses were clarified,This paper puts forward the strategies and constructing methods of the Chinese heavy-color painting school-based curriculum in junior high school based on key competency,designs and implements two unit courses:the New Story of Dunhuang Fresco and the New Bornt-shaped Foil Painting,and then summarizes the results,limitations and prospects of the research.Hoping that this study can provide some help for the teaching of heavy-color painting in the elementary education,and help to construct other school-based curriculum.
