The integral instruction design is based on the traditional teaching design and the"whole-part-whole" mode, focusing on the comprehensiveness of teaching objectives and the systematic teaching process,so that students' learning process is a logical and coherent cognitive whole. This helps students construct the whole of the mathematics system and lets students not only see the part of mathematics knowledge, but also analyze the relationship between the whole and the part,so as to grasp the essence and law of mathematics knowledgeThis study is based on the overall perspective, combined with the characteristics of high school mathematics curriculum and the design of high school mathematics teaching to explore the following two issues:(1)the current high school mathematics teachers' understanding and practice of the integral instruction design;(2)how to carry out the integral instruction design in high school mathematics teaching. The findings of this study show that:The consideration of the integral instruction design of high school mathematics is helpful for students to form a complete mathematical structure, but there is one-sidedness of some teachers' understanding of the integral instruction design.Given the investigation questions and the literature and case studies, the "whole-part-whole" mode of the integral instruction design is refined and perfected, and the following points are obtained(1)apply the "whole-part-whole" mode from the macro and micro levels;(2)pay attention to the guiding and standard of integral teaching objectives;(3)use the "whole-part-whole" mode flexibly in the lessons of integral instruction;(4)focus on the unity of the integral teaching evaluation and objectives.
