Teaching books is the main teaching reference books for teachers to prepare lessons,which plays a positive role in history teaching practice.The PEP Edition and Yuelu Edition are two sets of textbooks which are widely used.It is meaningful to make a comparative study of them by taking the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895 as an example.The Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895 was a very important war in modern Chinese history,and it was also one of the important learning contents required by the history curriculum standards of ordinary senior high school.After the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895,the road of modern learning changed in China.Firstly,Chinese direct learn from the Japan,then indirect learn West.The method greatly changes have taken place in the national mentality.After making a comparative study of the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895 in the two editions of teachers' teaching books by using the relevant theories of history,history curriculum theory in middle school,etc,founding that both the PEP Edition and the Yuelu Edition of teachers' teaching books focus on the analysis of the background of the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895,the Treaty of Shimonoseki and its harm,however,the PEP Edition follow with more interest to how to provide the guidance of teachers'methods and channel teachers to look for materials on their own,the teaching cases completely embody the core accomplishment of historical interpretation of history teaching in senior high school.Yuelu Edition of the teacher's book introduces the relevant contents in detail,saves teachers' time and energy in preparing lessons,and pays attention to the cultivation of students' concept of time and space.Patriotism education always runs through these two editions of teachers' teaching books.The deficiency is that the two editions of teachers' teaching books are lack of explanation on the transformation of modern learning path and national psychology.Though the comparative study,we can between the two find the similarities and differences,in theory,it will help the middle school history teachers' to understand the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895;in practice,it can enrich its educational significance to middle school students and cultivate patriotism.
