Based on reading a lot of relevant literature on teaching strategies in primary and secondary schools abroad,this article aims to sort out effective teaching strategies in contemporary American elementary and secondary schools,so that Chinese teachers can provide reference for self-evaluation and improvement of classroom teaching.In this research,the author uses the 21st-century core literacy framework proposed by the United States as an effective standard for teaching,and starts from promoting students' problem-solving abilities,information,media and technology literacy(ICT),and innovative abilities.teaching strategy.This article mainly introduces project /problem-based teaching strategies(PBL),case-based reasoning teaching strategies(CBR),and problem-based and case-based teaching design(LBD);Students' ICT skills flip-flop learning strategies,integrated technology subject teaching knowledge teaching strategies(TPACK / T-pack)and blended learning strategies(BL);STEM and STEAM education based on improving innovation ability,and VTS in two educational backgrounds Teaching strategies and 5E learning ring strategies.Finally,according to the existing research basis,the advantages and disadvantages of different teaching strategies are summarized,and some suggestions are given for the use of teaching strategies in primary and secondary schools in China.The effective teaching strategies of American elementary and secondary schools are closely linked with the times,the development of science and technology,and the needs of students and society.The purpose of teaching is not to impart knowledge to the teacher,but to learn,understand,use,accumulate experience,and self-build.The teaching strategies of American elementary and secondary schools are the auxiliary means and methods for effective learning of students.More emphasis is placed on the teacher-student interaction behavior,while more attention is paid to the emotional needs and evaluations of the students;emphasis is placed on improving students' self-efficacy;Stimulation of students' motivation by efficiency;advanced technologies such as technology and multimedia are applied in the classroom.However,China and the United States have different situations,educational resources,and teacher-student ratios.It is necessary to learn from the appropriate teaching strategies and experiences to improve the quality ofprimary and secondary schools in China.
