Teachers ' sense of belonging to school comprises a significant criterion of measuring teachers' work and living quality.The study and nourishment of teachers ' sense of belonging to school is not only instrumental to the stability of teaching faculty,but also facilitates the improvement of educational quality.The research on the current situation regarding the sense of belonging to school of substitute teachers in urban middle schools and affecting factors is to be carried out by an integral of literature retrieval,questionnaire survey and face-to face interview,coming up with strategies of promoting substitute teachers' sense of belonging to school according to respective demand.First and foremost,questionnaire survey has been adopted as a tool of measurement in this dissertation.Deriving from dimensions involving sense of attachment,achievement,recognition and harvest,questionnaire survey on substitute teachers of three large-scale urban public middle schools is conducted.The conclusion has been drawn that substitute teachers of urban middle schools are not in possession of strong attachment to school with relatively low sense of work achievement,harvest and recognition.Additionally,theindividual differences of teachers' congenital conditions and acquired experience spontaneously make profound impact on their sense of belonging to the schools that they are working with.Furthermore,in-depth analysis on deficiency in sense of belonging to school among substitute teachers of urban middle schools is primarily carried out from four aspects: multiple factors involving limited space of career development,overwhelming occupational stress,low occupational profit and inferior professional status.Ultimately,solutions have been proposed from three perspectives through elevation of occupational happiness,increase in sense of occupational harvest and reinforcement of occupational honor among substitute teachers.Substitute teachers are advised to confront the pressure of survival and work with increasingly positive attitude,accompanied by perfection of their own career planning.As for schools,they are anticipated to do their utmost to improve the teaching and living conditions,guarantee the material and spiritual welfare of substitute teachers,provide substitute teachers with more opportunities of elevation and create the atmosphere of teachers' happiness.People from all walks of life are supposed to create harmonious and friendly social environment by carrying out precisepositioning of substitute teachers,discard unrealistic requirements on substitute teachers and improve the management system of teachers' establishment and improve the protection mechanism of substitute teachers' rights.Promotion of urban substitute teachers ' professional development,improvement of the existing teacher management system and effective elevation of urban substitute teachers' belonging to school verifies beneficial to teachers,which is of critical realistic significance to students and our educational undertaking.
