Geography core literacy has become an important issue in the research of geography education at home and abroad,while geography skills are an important focus in the system of geography core literacy.Through international comparison,it is of great significance to understand the recent progress of foreign geography education and clarify its advantages and disadvantages for the research of China's geography education to affirm its own advantages and understand its shortcomings.This research adopts content analysis method and literature method,and is based on Gardner's multiple intelligence theory and Bruner's cognitive structure learning theory.A textbook analysis of the chapter "Geographical Tools(Les outils du géographe)" in the 6e "History-Geography" textbook by Belin Press,France.The research found that the chapter of "Geographical Tools" has the following characteristics:(1)Adopt problem-led and picture-guided presentation methods;(2)The style structure is unique,leading the subsequent chapters in the form of skill laying;(3)The content of the text is consistent with the requirements of the French syllabus,which corresponds to the five abilities of the development of multiple intelligences;(4)It shows that it attaches great importance to the cultivation of time and space positioning skills,emphasizes the basic map,emphasizes the application of knowledge,lays emphasis on the combination of digital technology and geography courses,and pays attention to the improvement of observation and aesthetic ability.(5)The activity design is highly operable,but the knowledge teaching is slightly weak.On the basis of the analysis and research,three suggestions on geography teaching in China are put forward:(1)Develop geographical inquiry field trips to train students' ability of time and space positioning;(2)To improve the ability of image application and cultivate students' observation and aesthetic ability;(3)Strengthen the teaching research of problem design.
