China put forward the concept of geographical core literacy in the 2017 Geography curriculum standard of general high school.As one of the four core qualities of geography,regional cognitive literacy is the basic method and ability of learning geography.Based on the study of the current situation of regional cognitive literacy of junior school student in Lanzhou City,this paper puts forward the training strategies that meet the requirements,stimulate the students' interest in learning geography,and enhance the students' autonomous learning ability and exploration awareness.The significance of this study is to put the concept of regional cognition and new curriculum standard into the practice of geography teaching,to provide theoretical guidance and reference for junior middle school geography teachers' teaching,and to provide teaching reference for the implementation of the new curriculum standard.Combing the relevant literature by Literature Review method,,this paper clarifies the writing background,theoretical basis and the definition of the concept;thirdly,through interviews and questionnaire analysis,it finds that junior high school students' regional geographic basic knowledge is relatively weak,common sense knowledge is relatively lack,and the ability of comprehensive thinking is not strong.In the aspect of teachers,there are some problems,such as insufficient cognitive depth of regional cognitive literacy,unsatisfactory training of students' regional cognitive literacy,and not too much research and innovation in the selection of regional cases.Based on the above problems,the author sums up and refines the training strategies suitable for the regional cognitive literacy of junior middle school in Lanzhou City,such as strengthening the teachers' understanding of the connotation of regional cognitive literacy through group learning,adopting flexible and diverse teaching methods,stimulating students' interest in learning,and strengthening students' spatial thinking ability through map method.Finally,through two teaching cases in the second volume of the seventh grade of Hunan Education Edition,the effectiveness and feasibility of the author's training strategies are verified.
