Children's picture books is literariness and artistic form of children's literature,in accordance with the child's age,characteristics close to the children's psychological characteristics and the aesthetic taste of picture and text tells a story or a topic,to improve children's observation,perception,thinking ability,imagination,taste and form the correct values have important influence and role.Chinese traditional art elements are contained in Chinese traditional culture,with a long history and rich connotations,which are deeply rooted in the soil of national culture and have profound national feelings and artistic charm.The application of traditional Chinese art elements into children's picture books,so that children can absorb the artistic nutrients of traditional art from childhood,is not only conducive to the cultivation of children's aesthetic taste and aesthetic ability,but also can enhance children's cultural identity and establish cultural self-confidence.As a part-time teacher of picture books,the author once conducted teaching and management in elam picture book library in zhuzhou city,hunan province.In practice,it was found that the borrowing amount of children's picture books with traditional Chinese art elements was less.Through classroom observation and investigation,it was learned that students had certain views on such picture books.In order to conduct anin-depth study,the author selected the application of traditional Chinese art elements in children's picture books as the subject for a special study,in order to explore the design defects and solutions of such picture books.This paper is divided into five parts:Introduction: this paper expounds the purpose and significance of the research,sorts out relevant literature research at home and abroad,and explains the research ideas,methods and innovations of this paper.The first chapter: summarizes the concepts of "children's picture books" and "traditional Chinese art elements",and discusses the value of integrating children's picture books and traditional Chinese art elements into picture books.Chapter two: through the questionnaire survey and interview of teachers and students from two urban and rural primary schools and one picture book library,the staff of children's library and bookstore,as well as the picture book creators,the author summarizes the problems and deficiencies in the application of traditional Chinese art elements to children's picture books.Chapter three: according to the relevant theoretical knowledge of children's aesthetic psychology and the basic requirements of children's picture book design,combined with the author's teaching practice,the author proposes the corresponding optimization strategies for the application of traditional Chinese art elements in children's picture books,in order to provide some Suggestions for the development of original children's picture books with "Chinese taste".The fourth chapter: combined with the development status of Chinese original picture books,provides Suggestions and thoughts for the future application of Chinese traditional art elements in children's picture books.
