With the introduction of the comprehensive core quality of the subject under the new curriculum reform,the university entrance examinations take on new characteristics: the questions are novel;ability tests based on the basic knowledge become common;the ability to extract effective information,analysis of graphic and graphic materials throughout the whole volume.At the same time in this era of information explosion,the huge amount of information and information update speed make "how to obtain information" more important than "how much information you have",so life and learning requirements for each student's ability are continuing to improve.Spatial consciousness and the ability to read map have become one of the most basic qualities of modern people.Therefore,in order to improve the efficiency of classroom teaching and achieve the ability goals of the new curriculum standards,the current geography teaching classrooms have higher and higher requirements for teachers,so it is worth looking forward to the analysis and feedback of good teaching examples to form a "paradigm" of optimized teaching design.Cultivating citizens with map capabilities is an important task of geography education,which requires today's geography teachers to pay more attention to teaching students how to read pictures and how to obtain information independently.This study first surveyed the 2016 liberal arts students in Wenjiang MiddleSchool in Sichuan Province through a questionnaire of geography learning psychology for high school students,and then analysed the collected questionnaires,and used interviews as an aid.The conclusion is the thinking ability of high school students in geography is weak,and they generally think that map learning is difficult.Combining the characteristics of the geography discipline,the concept of the new curriculum standard,the needs of life,and the requirements of the college entrance examination,we can see that the cultivation of map literacy is imminent.The cultivation of map literacy is an important way to improve the comprehensive quality of students.Teachers' interviews revealed that the current high school geography classroom teaching in our school pays more attention to map teaching,but the teaching is more difficult and less efficient.This thesis comprehensively uses the literature,interview,questionnaire,classroom observation,and case study methods.Based on the current research situation at home and abroad,the classification and uses of common geographic images are first introduced,and the current situation of improving students' reading ability in geography teaching in high school is summarized.Then the key points of interpreting different types of geographic images are explained,and the cultivation of reading ability in high school students is emphasized.Then it focuses on the interpretation of different types of geographic images and proposes corresponding teaching countermeasures for the training of high school students' image reading ability from different types of courses.Then,three complete teaching cases were designed to reflect the quality of map literacy in conventional teaching.Cultivate suggestions and carry out one-year teaching practice in two balanced classes.Finally,compare the results of the two classes students and complete a questionnaire survey on "status of high school students' map abilities."The long-term test results,questionnaires,and interview results prove that the teaching of geography in high school students 'map literacy is effective.Students highly recognize the ability of maps to improve their geography learning skills.Based on different graphic categories,the teaching of students' map abilities is improved.The countermeasures are different in different stages and different course types.It is scientific and consistent with the students' cognitive rules and teaching contentrequirements.The cultivation of map literacy aims to improve the comprehensive literacy of high school students in the subject of geography,cultivate the students' key ability to comprehensively analyse problems,improve learning efficiency,and help students learn to use the perspective of geography to observe and appreciate the geographical environment around them,while promoting teachers Professional development to improve the happiness of teachers and students in teaching and learning.
