To enhance the development of students in an all-round way,Senior middle school education also aims at improving individual development.It provides students a preparation for adapting society,higher education as well as career development,plus lies the foundation for lifelong development.However,the fact is that some Senior One students fail in Physics in a long term,neither can they remember Physics equations well nor clearly analyze Physics problems.In order to solve students' problems in studying Physics,the author studies the causes of poor performance in Senior One Physics learning,which could not only offer some references to teachers and improve Physics teaching equality to some extent,but also conform to the new trend of College Entrance Examination.Researches for difficulties in Physics learning have a profound history,and they already get fruitful achievements.However,new problems emerge,owing to changeable differences that taken place in social development,students' personality,and the access to Physics knowledge.Based on these matters,the author combines his Physics education reality with his teaching practices and experience,takes some Senior One students at a school in Nanchong,Sichuan province as study subject,analyzes the causes of poor performance in Senior One Physics learning under the guidance of Attribution theory,Zone of Proximal Development,and Constructive theory.The thesis employs several methods,including literature research,questionnaire,interviews of students and observation.The thesis consists of seven parts.The first part is a summary of researches about difficulties in Physics learning both at home and abroad.The second one is theoretical basis of difficulties in physics learning on the concept of learning difficulties.The third part analyzes learning characteristics of Senior One students.The fourth one sets questionnaires.The following part is handing out questionnaires to students,and analyzes difficulties in physics learning systematically in different aspects,namely,discipline,students(including emotion,learning methods and habits),teachers,and household environment.The next part is mainly about collections of interviewing teachers,which strengthens results.Last but not least,it tries to give some strategies to students who have difficulties in learning Physics.According to the thesis,reasons for Senior One students who have difficulties in learning Physics can be concluded as follow: In terms of discipline,Math knowledge is unable to keep pace with Physics learning,because of the differences between junior physics and senior physics.As for students,some of them are short of interests and motivation,which results to less confidence in physics learning.Thus their methods and habits in studying Physics could be improper.Affective disorders such as weak confidence and improper attitude are quite normal in Physics learning.From the perspective of school and teacher,problems exist in after-class supervision,teaching model and methods.Last but not least,household environment could also influence their performance.In the aspect of combination of above causes and the author's teaching experience,following proposals are advanced: First of all,students need to cultivate good learning methods,which includes not only understanding physics knowledge but also applying knowledge.They may learn the fact that difficulties in learning Physics are common.Therefore,in the process of learning Physics,it is necessary to cope with problems as soon as possible when they emerge.Second,teachers need to update teaching outlook and transform teaching method actively.It is also needed to strengthen interaction between teachers and students,and attention and supervision are very important in teaching Physics.Third,focus should be on students' performance.Besides,analyzing students' problems promptly and making timely correction are also significant.Reasonable planning require the cooperation of household and school.Wrong behaviors,for example,sending students to school without consideration,could not be taken.
