| The SAT is an important college entrance examination organized by the College Board.It is also an international test with a large impact.In recent years,the SAT has improved the quality of assessments by actively changing and optimizing the assessment concepts.The "Essay" test adopted by the SAT in 2005 is also known as the "point of view" composition test.Since its inception,this question type has attracted the attention of educational research experts at home and abroad,especially those related to language education.In March 2016,facing the multiple pressures of public opinion and competitors ACT(American College Testing),the SAT launched a new type of test questions,the most significant of which is the "analytic composition" test questions.As an important part of academic ability test,sat composition test in the United States has changed from "task driven composition" to "analytical composition",which reflects the importance of University Council for candidates' key abilities and comprehensive literacy necessary for academic research.It is necessary for researchers to deeply understand the core idea of SAT composition proposition reformation and refine its basic characteristics,which will bring some inspiration to the improvement and innovation of China's college entrance examination composition proposition.The SAT composition proposition is the presentation and interrelationship of the intrinsic value,external form of the SAT composition test,and the elements of its evaluation criteria.Specifically,this article conducts research from the three aspects of combing the evolution of the SAT,analyzing the SAT composition proposition concepts,forms,and enlightening reality.This research mainly uses the literature research method,historical research method,and comparative research method to dig out the concept orientation of SAT composition propositions,presenting the basicform of SAT composition test questions and scoring standards.In order to ensure the integrity and richness of the data,a large number of SAT official documents and research reports have been translated and collated in this article.The first part reviewed the background and development of SAT as a whole.The establishment of the University Entrance Examination Board and the vigorous development and promotion of intelligence tests are two important forces that promote the SAT.Among them,the evolution history of the SAT is mainly divided into three stages: formal establishment,rapid development,and reform of the test framework.On this basis,this section focuses on the two types of SAT composition questions before and after the reform: "point of view composition" and "analytic composition" and introduces the basic situation separately.The second part is the difficulty of this article.The second part deeply considers the content of the composition proposition concept in the SAT official document.The reform of writing propositions is diverse,but the breakthrough lies in the study of propositional ideas.The SAT composition propositions start from the writing abilities necessary for students to conduct academic research and professional development in the future,covering multiple dimensions such as language use and thinking development,and finally point to the growth of the language personality of the writing subject.This part extracts the three core concepts of SAT composition propositions over the years:penetrating critical thinking,awakening communication consciousness,refining the quality of expression,and the development trend of the latest SAT composition proposition concepts,which is to reduce the probability of "fabric structure" and assess multiple abilities.The third and fourth parts are the focus of this article.The third part summarizes its basic characteristics from the actual aspects of the "point-of-expression composition" and "analytic composition" test questions.Among them,the "point of view" composition test questions have rich and diverse prompting materials and open,dialectical writing tasks.The reading tips of the "analytic composition" test questions focus on the elements of argumentation,the source text is oriented to public affairs,and the writing task is closely linked to the argumentation process.Composition test is one of the important carriers of proposition idea.Ananalysis of the types of topics and expressions of writing tasks involved in the SAT composition will help people deepen their understanding of proposition concepts.The fourth part combines the static analysis of the composition scoring criteria with the dynamic analysis of the evaluation link to show the complete process of the SAT composition evaluation link in a comprehensive and detailed way.Through the discussion of the first four parts,the proposition idea of SAT composition has been clearly interpreted.At the same time,the basic form and evaluation link of SAT composition test can also be presented concretely.Of course,the SAT composition proposition is rooted in the unique educational ecological environment of the United States,which needs the dialectical view and careful reference of researchers.In the fifth part,on the basis of grasping the concept and form of SAT composition proposition as accurately and deeply as possible,combined with the current situation of composition proposition of college entrance examination in China,the author tries to launch the thinking of "Sinicization" of composition proposition,which is also the purpose of studying the concept and form of SAT composition proposition.Under the background of comprehensively deepening the education mode reform of senior high school,the positive experience of SAT composition proposition will provide some suggestions for the college entrance examination composition proposition staff and the front-line Chinese teachers in re examining the writing practice of middle school students,changing the concept of college entrance examination composition proposition,enriching the composition examination form and improving the composition evaluation system. |
