Learning habits can reflect a student's long-term learning characteristics,learning attitudes,learning ambitions,etc.Students should optimize their learning habits if they want to be excellent in their school grades.In this study,senior students of Grade 5 and Grade 6 from urban primary school A and rural primary school B in Hefei were selected as research objects.Questionnaires were handed out to 404 students in the study,which contains questions about the basic learning habits including preview habits,classroom learning habits,after-class consolidation habits and extended learning habits including learning habits of extended courses,cooperative learning habits,meta learning habits.The study had conducted interviews with 12 students,12 parents,10 teachers and 2 headmasters from the 2 schools and in-depth classroom observations in the 2 schools.After the results of questionnaires,interviews and observations were sorted,we found the differences between the basic learning habits and extended learning habits among them and analyzed the problems respectively: First,urban school students' planning ability on learning is better than that of rural school students;Second,rural school students' attention in classroom learning is more focused than that of urban school students and their will of overcoming learning barriers is stronger than that of urban students;Third,urban school students' learning autonomy is better than that of rural school students;Fourth,rural school students' learning attitude is more humble than that of urban school students;Fifth,urban students' communication ability of learning is better than that of rural school students;Sixth,the learning resources and ways of urban students are more broader than those of rural students.Then,the study analyzed the reasons of the differences in learning habits between the urban school students and the rural schools students: studentsthemselves including learning attitude,learning methods,learning motivations,learning interests,personal factors;school education including teachers,students' group influence,the educational environment in school;family education including parents' attention and participation on students' learning,parents' educational attainments and ideas;social factors including the governmental inputs in education,the average income gap between the urban and rural residents.Thus,the study offers some suggestions on the learning habits of senior students in urban and rural primary schools from five aspects: students,parents,teachers,schools and society.
