Large-scale industrial parks generally refer to the parks which take a certain advantageous industry as the leading one and concentrate the layout properly to promote industrial upgrading and urbanization based on the urban planning of the city where the project is located. The large-scale park industrial parks in China, which compelled a large number of indigenous residents to concentrate in the urban communities, have brought many resettlement communities.Although theses residents in the resettlement communities belong to the city in space, but they cannot integrate into the urban community in terms of the population behavior and ideology, which means they are in a peri-urbanisation state. The questions we need to think about are what changes of the population behaviors have taken place in these resettlement communities, what the influencing factors are,and finally how to help them integrate into urban life better. However, domestic and foreign scholars still have the following defects in the field of social impact of the parks development projects:(1)They focused on the spatial location, regional economy and other fields of the parks development projects, while ignored the research in the social impact.(2)The research on the social impact of large-scale engineering projects focuses on the establishment and evaluation of the evaluation index system, which is relatively rigid.(3)The social impact of large-scale projects mostly focuses on the changes of population structure and population behavior, but there is a lack of comprehensive and systematic research. Therefore, the rigid evaluation index system was abandon in this paper. From the perspective of population behavior, the influence of population behavior in the park development projects' s resettlement community was deeply studied, and the characteristics, process and causes of its changes was systematically explored.Based on the one-way anova and chi-square analysis of the questionnaire survey data, this paper found that there were significant differences in the population behavior characteristics between the communities of the experimental group and the communities of the urban and rural control group.Taking this as the research subject, the in-depth interviews were conducted with 31 highly involved interviewees from 10 resettlement communities of 3 parks development projects of Nanjing.Based on metaphor extraction technology, this paper explored the construction of the factors that influenced the population behavior on the subconscious level of the residents through the ladder interview with the images as the medium.Combined with MEC theory, the construct chain of population behavior(V)-community residents' psychology(C)-park development attribute(A)was obtained, and the consensus chart of influencing factors of population behavior change was constructed. The typical phenomena and causes of the four major demographic behavior changes were analyzed in this paper from three aspects: the park development projects, the rapid urbanization promoted by the park development and the attributes of the resettlement communities. Finally, some advice on the resettlement compensation policies, the parks management and the planning of relocation communities were put forward in this paper from the positions of residents so as to help the residents in resettlement communities integrate into urban community life better. The main conclusions of population behavior change theory generated in this paper are:(1)Because of the better living facilities in the communities and the effect of the migrant population, the consumption demand of young people is generally enhanced, while the upgrade of consumption hardly occurred among the old people due to the inertia of inherent consumption habit. The collision of consumption concept is significant.(2)The competitiveness of mate selection and economic level have been improved because of the resettlement compensation and the employment opportunities in the parks.High-quality education resources in the park and a good educational atmosphere give rise to the idea of eugenics. But due to the limits of small houses and heavy educational burden and so on,changes come up on the whole towards to free marriage, one child and emphasis on education changes.(3)The aging of the community population is a serious problem due to the dirty and messy environment and the external migration of young workers in the resettlement communities. However, the appreciation of fixed assets after the resettlement has reached the psychological expectation of the elderly population about old-age care.Besides, the relatively rich entertainment facilities and services and the centralized resettlement of neighbors make the concept of living alone old-age care formed among the elderly population.(4)Benefiting from the high-tech industries and complete supporting facilities introduced by the park development projects,as well as the relatively cheap rents, the resettlement communities have a concentrated inflow of external population. However, due to the large mobility of external population and uneven quality of the park development projects,it has a lot of adverse effects on the resettlement communities. The qualitative research method of metaphor extraction technology was the firstly applied in the field of engineering sociology in this study, which is an early systematic study focused on the impact of largescale park development projects on the behavior of indigenous residents at home and abroad. Also this study had broken through the limitations of single population behavior research of other scholars,in which four major population behaviors were integrated. An "influencing factors consensus map" which contained the four population behavior has been draw.Four population behavior were ascribed to three main properties of park development resettlement community in order to provide certain reference for the future research on the field of social impact of large-scale park development projects.
