A Study On The Practice Of Entrepreneurship Education In American Community Colleges

In recent years,as the Chinese economy has entered a new normal,more and more innovative and skilled talents are needed in all walks of life,the important position of entrepreneurship education and vocational education has become increasingly prominent.While entrepreneurship education has received extensive attention from international organizations and governments,it has also increasingly stimulated the interest of scholars.The United States was the first country to conduct entrepreneurship education.The entrepreneurship education in community colleges began in the early 1970 s,which has formed its unique development advantages and mature entrepreneurship education practice system.The entrepreneurship education in American community colleges focus on the systematic develop and design of the curriculum;In the form of teaching,it emphasizes the combination of classroom teaching and practice activities;On the teachers,it focuses on the selection and training of entrepreneurial education teachers;In the organization and management,it combines credit and non-credit entrepreneurship education,and form a model of entrepreneurship education in which the magnet model,the radiation model and the mixed model are integrated;In the evaluation system,it advocated students as the main body,and provides diversified evaluation indicators of entrepreneurship education;In the security system,there are government policies guarantee,financial assistance provided by social organizations,and cooperation support provided by enterprises.The development of entrepreneurship education in American community colleges has been widely concerned by the government and society,and it has gradually become an indispensable part of entrepreneurship education in American universities.However,compared with the perfect entrepreneurship education practice system in the American Community Colleges,all aspects of entrepreneurship education practice in higher vocational colleges are needed to be improved.Therefore,the paper deeply analyzes the successful experience of entrepreneurship education practice in American community colleges,which bases on the full study of it,and proposes feasible suggestions for improving the practice system of entrepreneurship education in higher vocational colleges in China.
