The new urbanization is a major development strategy officially proposed by the Communist Party of China and the country at the 18 th National People's Congress based on the development stage of China.It emphasizes adhering to the people-centered approach,narrowing the gap between urban and rural areas,promoting the development of urban and rural integration,and enabling all residents to share economic and social development results.Compulsory education is the basic cause of social development in China.With the introduction of new urbanization and the promotion of urban-rural integration,compulsory education has been put forward with higher development requirements,that is,to achieve the integrated development of urban and rural compulsory education.As a province with a large population and a large agricultural province,Henan Province is also an important province for the development of compulsory education.Under the guidance of relevant policies of the party and the state,Henan Province actively promotes the development of new urbanization,but with the influx of large numbers of rural population into cities,Urban education resources are in short supply,some rural education resources are idle,and the quality of education is difficult to be guaranteed.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the coordinated development of urban and rural compulsory education integration in Henan Province in the process of promoting new urbanization.Based on system theory,coordinated development theory,and educational equity theory,this paper uses literature research method,expert survey method,analytic hierarchy process,comprehensive evaluation method and other research methods to carry out research on the Coordinated Development of Urban and Rural Compulsory Education Integration in Henan Province in the Process of New Urbanization.Firstly,initially construct an evaluation index system for the integrated development of urban and rural compulsory education,and Comprehensive evaluation of the development level of Henan Province in the process of new urbanization,it is concluded that Henan Province is currently in the mid-stage of overall coordination.Then,combined withthe evaluation results,analysis of the development status of Henan Province,and conduct specific analysis from the results achieved,existing problems and causes,the results are mainly reflected in the increase of education funding,teaching conditions,the number of teachers per student,and the graduation rate of students all basically achieve urban-rural coordination;the problems are mainly reflected in the imbalance of urban and rural education expenditures,the unreasonable structure of urban and rural teachers,education problems for moving children and left-behind children,large class problems;the reason is that there are still gaps in urban and rural economic development,compulsory education management,teacher allocation,and school development.Finally,aiming at the problems and causes in the development,from the six aspects of cultural concept,rural revitalization strategy,system construction,teacher allocation,school standards,and special population education,put forward countermeasures and suggestions to promote the coordinated development of urban and rural compulsory education in Henan Province in the process of new urbanization.
