In the process of urbanization,a large number of male rural populations have participated in urban life and became rural migrant workers in cities.As the 19 th National congress of the CPC has come up with rural vitalization to help better govern the vast countryside of China,research upon this particular topic is of great significance in both theoretical and practical aspects.With the mass media entering the rural space and bring upon a complicated social phenomenon that involves more kinds of values and self-awareness,rural left-behind women have changed their minds on all sorts of things.Their subject consciousness is constantly strengthened in the process of participation,selection,competition and innovation.Based on field research,first-hand information and the Phenomenology of space.This paper adopts the theory of mediatization to investigate the state of mind of rural left-behind women in a chosen village.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part introduction discussed the significance and methods ofthis particular study and elaborated the literature review in regard of this particular subject.The second part introduce the phenomenological methods and summarizes the basic status of Beijie Village and argues that mass media has created virtual space as an extension for rural left-behind women.The third part adopts the theory of phenomenal body and interview material to elaborate how the virtual space exerts an influence on rural left-behind women.In the fourth part,this paper pointed out that although the media affect the subjective consciousness of rural left-behind women,there is insufficient motivation in the conversion of consciousness to behavior.
