Wanxi Rural Normal School In The Rural Construction Movement(1931-1948)

Wanxi Rural Normal School was born in the western part of Henan Province under the tide of Rural Construction Movement of the Republic of China.It is a special development of rural teacher education in Wanxi and a special case in the rural construction movement.The purpose of this paper is studying the educational practice activities of Wanxi Rural Normal School.It comprehensively adopts historical narrative method,document analysis method and comparative analysis method,,trying to show the characteristics of Wanxi Rural Normal School.Wanxi Rural Normal School has existed for more than ten years.Guiding by the unique Three-Selfism theory,Wanxi Rural Normal School launch a unique Three-shotism education around guns,pens and stings.The school selects young people who are interested in changing the face of their hometown,complies local textbooks based on the natural and social conditions of Wanxi,carries out autonomous reform and normal teaching practice,pays attention to the close connection between school and society,and exercises the ability to do practical work.The open spirit based on practical principles has attracted a large group of outstanding rural educators,forming a free and democratic campus culture.Wanxi Rural Normal School is the core decision-making organ of Wanxi Autonomy and a comprehensive school for cultivating rural workers.It tried to promote school education reform with the focus of regional autonomy,making a positive contribution to the development of education and the training of talents in Wanxi.Wanxi Rural Normal School have the commonality of rural construction experiments and the nature of reformism,cannot lead Wanxi out of the predicament and gradually decline.
