There are no abstract individuals in the society,only individuals who assume various social roles.Among them,the role of "parents" naturally has richer connotation in today's society.Primary school is a critical period for children's growth and development.Parents of primary school students,as the key role of children's growth,the undertaker of family education and the important participant of family school community cooperation,have complex and diverse requirements for their role competency.What is the competency to be a qualified and even excellent parent of primary school students? Based on the process role theory,the author chooses the parents of X primary school in Changzhou City,Jiangsu Province,and divides them into three categories according to different grades.The role task analysis will be used to develop the role competency model of parents of primary school students.On this basis,the applicability of the model will be verified by questionnaire survey.The model structure is composed of three levels of activity areas-key tasks-competencies.There are three main findings:First,the first level of the role competency model includes seven areas of activity,such as life care,accompany,counselling,cultivating,family atmosphere building,parent learning and school affairs participation.These seven activities are reflected in the interaction between parents and different objects.Second,the second level of the role model includes twenty-six role tasks.For example,in the field of counseling,the key tasks of the parent role include three aspects: academic counseling for children,psychological counseling for children,and life guidance for children.Third,the third level of the parental role competence model is composed of onehundred and fifteen competencies.For example,the key task of academic counseling includes seven competency requirements,that is,being able to pay attention to the child's learning progress in various disciplines,guiding and helping the child to develop academic plans(daily plan,weekly plan,monthly plan,semester plan Etc.)and supervise its implementation,being able to provide targeted feedback on the implementation of the children's plan in conjunction with the reward and punishment plan,providing a quiet learning atmosphere when children do their homework(do not play on mobile phones,make loud noises,etc.)Parents can guide and supervise their children to complete the homework assigned by the school and teachers,check their children's daily homework,explain the problems and mistakes,and select relevant guidance materials and exercises according to their children's characteristics.Based on the above research findings,this paper discusses the differences of the role competency models of primary school students' parents in different years and the role cognition,role behaviors and role competencies of primary school students' parents,and puts forward suggestions to improve the level and implementation of parent role cognition,actively carry out parent training and improve the role competency of parents.
