The teaching materials are the symbol of school education and the main carrier for carrying authoritative knowledge,reflecting subject content,and spreading culture.With the deepening of the curriculum reform,the curriculum concept of "one program and one book" has been changed into "multiple books for one standard",and different versions of textbooks have begun to emerge.In 2017,the Chinese Ministry of Education formulated the Chemistry Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 Edition).Guided by the new curriculum standard of 2017 edition,new different versions of high school chemistry textbooks have also been published.Most teachers only use a single version of textbooks at present,so there may be blind spots and limitations in the teaching chemistry of high school.If we can conduct a comprehensive comparison study on the chemistry textbooks of high school,it will provide the beneficial references and helps for teachers and students at the forefront of teaching and learning.Based on the theory of constructivism and guided by the compilation requirements of the new curriculum standard,a comprehensive comparison study of chemistry teaching materials of senior one published in 2019(Renjiao Edition and Luke Edition)was investigated in this work by adopting the methods of literature research,comparison,statistics and content analysis.Its main contents include the following five parts:(i)combing the current situation of comparative studies on chemistry textbooks at home and abroad,and determining the research methods and contents of this work;(ii)comparative study of the knowledge structure system of the two versions of textbooks;(iii)comparative study on the presentation mode of the two versions of textbooks;(iv)taking the theme 3,"The basis of material structure and the law of chemical reaction",as an example to conduct a specific comparative study of the two versions of textbooks;(v)providing the reference suggestions of teaching materials use for the teachers and students based on the research results of this work.After a comprehensive comparison study of the above two textbooks,it is believed that the two versions of the textbooks implement the guidance requirements of the new curriculum standards,but the focus is different.(i)As far as the knowledge structure system is concerned,both versions of the textbooks have the most narratives on topic 2 "Common Inorganics and Their Applications";the Luke Edition involves less knowledge on topic 5 "Chemistry and Social Development";the two versions of the textbooks The overall layout of the core content of themes 2,3 and 4 is roughly the same,but the design ideas of "the nature and transformation of substances" are different.The Renjiao Edition "first total and then divided" divides the substance more carefully;while the Luke Edition "first "Use after method",pay more attention to the learning and mastering of method.(ii)In terms of presentation methods,the columns and pictures of the two versions of the textbooks better reflect the requirements of the new curriculum standards for textbook compilation.Taken together,the exercises and reading system of the Renjiao Edition are more in line with the design principles of the new curriculum standards.(iii)From the comparative study of theme 3 as an example,the two versions of the textbook have properly selected materials with different characteristics,which are basically consistent with the presentation of the entire textbook,but the two versions of the chemical concepts need to learn from each other Further optimization;in terms of experiments,the Renjiao Edition focuses on the consolidation and deepening of knowledge,while the Luke Edition pays more attention to the guidance of the method.Combined with the above research results,it is recommended that teachers and students should refer to various versions of teaching materials in the teaching and learning process,pay attention to the integration of chemical knowledge,clarify the meaning of each column for flexible use of the column,reveal the hidden knowledge contained in the picture,and pay close attention to the supporting exercises in the teaching materials.
