Under the instruction of policies in files including: Core quality of Chinese student development?High school art lesson standards?Core quality of high school art course,this article designed and practically investigated the high school art lessons based on the concept of STEAM.it has been nearly 10 years since the introduction of STEAM concept into the educational field in China.Its positive promotional roles in cultivating full-scale developed students has been confirmed by both domestic and international theoretical and practical investigation.However,cases applied in art education is less than that other field.this article,by using the inter-discipline integration,project activity,5E teaching model,aimed to construct a general model for high school art education under the concept of STEAM and apply it to the innovative design of unit activities of the high school art lessons.The studies of this article are mainly focused on the following three aspects:(1)By analyzing and carding the current development status of domestic and international STEAM education concept and the high school art teaching,we concluded that America and other developed countries are constructing the STEAM education into an eco-system for social combinational development to maintain the advantage of talent training scheme on the strategic level.it has been ten years since the development of STEAM in China,educators will gradually regard it as the new direction for the educational reform in 21 th century.so far,there has not been many policies and instructive files at the national level,the studies of localization practical examples are enriched in the application of STEAM onto the field of preliminary education.however,most of them are focused on courses including information technology,biology and science in primary school,only one article reported its application in art lesson.this conclusion laid basis on the performance of this article.(2)By analyzing the meaning,origin,development and application of domestics and international STEAM education concept,this article constructed STEAM-based general model and agenda for teaching design of high schoolart lesson under the construction of the new version of high schoolart lesson standard and core quality for high school art and outlined three parts including the early phase preparation,designing phase and ending phase and eight links.(3)By using the STEAM-based general model of high school art lesson,we competed the design the teaching unit of “The growing route of Chinese character designer” based on the font design unit in the PEP's art textbook of grade 1,including the learner analysis,teaching objects analysis,map of STEAM inter-discipline,teaching contents,teaching resource,teaching activity agenda and teaching evaluation,eight links in total.By matching the teaching objects to the rules of core quality for high school art,using the project activity model in STEAM concept for the teaching activity,integrative designing of teaching content with science,technology,engineer,art and mathematics,harnessing hardware and software for the teaching resource,combining self-inspection,inspection between teachers and mutual inspections for teaching evaluation,we have constructed a whole example of STEAM based high school art teaching.(4)Applied the above designed STEAM based high school into practice to test it reasonableness.we received the integral evaluation of the course by questionnaire,score of the course and visit of the teachers who participated the courses and then re-inspected and modified the course based on all the feed backs.the STEAM-based high school art teaching example designed in this article is feasible and effective in the practical teaching process,the prominent teaching results indicated that application of STEAM concept is effective in achieving the teaching objects and cultivation of the inter-discipline integral quality for the students.
