With the social status and role of vocational education becoming more and more prominent,all sectors of society have begun to lay emphasis on the quality of vocational education.In order to promote the connotative development of vocational education,highly qualified teachers are essential.Vocational education faces a new era,and the construction of teaching staff is under reform.In this context,vocational education teachers face higher requirements of double quality.Vocational education teachers urgently need to improve their professional quality.There are many influencing factors on the development of professional quality of vocational education teachers.Because of its applicability and practicality,social capital is particularly important.Therefore,this article based on the perspective of social capital theory,searches the impact of social capital on the professional quality of vocational education teachers through empirical research.And provides a new perspective for the improvement and development of professional quality of vocational education teachers.The author reviewed the relevant literature and the theory of social capital,defined the concept and dimensions of social capital and the professional quality of vocational education teachers.Then choosing 116 vocational education teachers in the west,north and south of China to conducting a survey through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews.Use the SPSS 24.0 statistical software to analyze the data of the questionnaire and organize the semi-structured interview content based on the recording.Data analysis results show that social capital has a significant positive impact on the professional quality of vocational education teachers.In all dimensions,acquaintance support and colleague support have a significant positive impact on professional ethics of vocational education teachers;acquaintance support and school resources have a significant positive impact on professional knowledge of vocational education teachers;acquaintance support,enterprise resources,and school resources have a significant effect on professional competence of vocational education teachers;school resources and enterprise resources have a significant positive impact on the professional self-consciousness of vocational education teachers.Based on the results of empirical research,this article puts forward relevant suggestions for the development of professional quality of vocational education teachers from the perspective of social capital,in the hope of providing some reference for the improvement of professional quality and the building of vocational education teachers.
