The Countermeasure Study On The Campus Culture Construction Of The Higher Vocational Colleges In "A New Era"

Having been developed for over twenty years,higher vocational education has been an essential part of higher education of China.With rapid growth of higher vocational education,constructing and study of campus culture in vocational colleges have received more attention.The key issue in the study of higher vocational education is how to construct campus culture in vocational colleges which is full of characteristics of times,energy and educational function with combination of demands for both economic development and industrial upgrade.There are four chapters in this article illustrating the theories of constructing new-times campus culture in vocational colleges,research and analyses of current situation and problems,proposal and implement of solutions and achievement of typical cases.It is aimed at a systematic summary of theories and achievement of campus cultural construction in vocational colleges both at home and abroad,a further research into current situation of campus cultural practice in China,a discussion on the spiritual content,means,functions and strategies of constructing new-times campus culture,with the purpose of benefiting the research and practice of theories on new-times campus culture in vocational colleges.Chapter one deals with the background,aims and meaning of new-times campus cultural research and the achievements of constructing campus culture in vocational colleges both at home and abroad.Compared with our country,Western researches on campus culture is based on the demand of future vocational development and more human-oriented.They attach more importance to development of students' overall quality and combination of cultural and scientific education.The research achievements mainly lie in innovation of talent cultivation on the basis of discipline construction and reform of major and teaching material.Having started later,our campus cultural research shows new trend to college-enterprise cooperation and entrepreneurship and innovation.Chapter two deals with the content,main characteristics and functions of constructing new-times campus culture in our vocational colleges.While constructing campus culture,we should adapt to the new demand and fulfill its functions of direction,divergence and cohesion,starting in material culture,spiritual culture,system culture and behavior culture.We should focus on the new demand of talent cultivation in modern higher vocational colleges,combine college self-positioning,adapt to the demand of employment and industrial development.Meanwhile,from various aspects of campus cultural construction,we ought to pay attention to achieving the goal of fostering virtue through education,conduct college-enterprise cooperation,cultivate students' entrepreneurship and innovating thinking and build distinctive brand of campus culture.Chapter three discusses the current situation and problems of modern campus cultural construction,analyze and sum the main causes of the situation and problems and put forward the strategies and measures to construct campus culture on the basis of surveys and talks with the teachers and students in a vocational college.The main problems are as follows:vocational colleges attatch a general importance to campus cultural construction but lack a specific understanding;there are more material culture in campus cultural construction than spiritual culture;campus cultural construction gradually shows its outstanding charact teristics but identification needs improving;system construction in campus cultural construction is being improved but behavior culture is far from perfect.The following reasons may account for the problems: the vocational orientation of the campus cultural construction is not clear;thoughts on cultural construction is limitied;the sense of the times is less intense;ideology of college management falls behind,etc..So we can carry out some strategies to deal with the problems.First,construct campus culture in accordance with the direction of vocational development.Second,establish spirit of university to construct campus culture.Third,introduce corporate culture to perfect campus culture.Fourth,learn foreign experience to improve the quality of our campus culture.We can take a series of measures: reinforce mechanism construction and solidify the base of system and organization;strengthen construction of material culture and guarantee facilities needed;focus on behavior cultural construction with the help of college code of conduct;consolidate spiritual cultural construction with the guide of college spirit;improve the cultural taste and build distinctive brand of campus culture.Chapter four proves the feasibility of strategies of campus cultural constructionsuggested in the article through the analyses on the measures and some achievements in a vocational college's campus cultural construction.It's measures include: definite direction of construction and strengthen the guiding function of cultural construction;develop innovation-featured campus culture;reinforce the college-enterprise cooperation and improve the corporate cultural integration.It's main achievements in campus cultural construction lie in three aspects: cultural education project known as One Work One Department and One Skill One Person improves the art education and professional cultural brand construction;entrepreneurship and innovation project leads the development of distinct campus culture;professional features are embodied in campus cultural construction through college-enterprise cooperation.
