The proportion of Chinese traditional culture has been increased in the compiled junior middle school Chinese textbooks,the biggest feature is to increase the length of ancient poems and articles,which further fully reflects the national attention to Chinese traditional culture.In the compiled junior middle school Chinese textbook,many ancient poems contain rich Chinese traditional culture,and the place name culture is an important part of it.Place names are the product of human cognitive practice.The emergence and changes of place names show the occurrence and development of human spiritual activities and civilization.Therefore,using place names,we can understand the geographical environment,historical changes,language types,social activities,settlement tribes and other connotations of a nation,which is an interdisciplinary cultural phenomenon.Mining ancient poetry contains rich culture of place names,which is the process of continuously mining Chinese traditional culture behind ancient poetry,continuously improving the quality of Chinese teaching in junior high school and inheriting Chinese traditional culture.This is a subject worthy of study.Therefore,this paper takes the place names appearing in 1-6 volumes of middle school Chinese textbooks compiled by the Ministry as the research object,makes statistics and sorting out the frequency,types and cultural characteristics of place names appearing in middle school ancient poems and articles,analyzes the current situation and causes of problems in the cultural teaching of place names in middle school ancient poems and articles,puts forward strategies for the cultural teaching of place names in middle school ancient poems and articles,and advances the cultural teaching of place names in middle school ancient poems and articles To reflect and explore the new way of inheriting Chinese traditional culture in junior high school ancient poetry teaching,in order to provide useful enlightenment and practical help for junior high school ancient poetry teaching inheriting Chinese traditional culture.
