Teacher professional development refers to the process of individual teachers continuously learning professional knowledge,increasing teaching skills,paying attention to students,and continuously improving professional literacy in the practice of education and teaching.It pays attention on the individual and internal experience of teachers.At the same time,the professional development of teachers is also a gradual and dynamic process,with characteristics of phase and continuity.However,teachers ' post-service training,which is currently one of the most important forms of support for teachers' professional development,appears more as an external "task-type" requirement.The fundamental reason is that they don't focus on the individual professional development needs of teachers.Therefore,from the perspective of individual teachers,it is important to explore the needs of teachers' independent professional development at different stages of professional development and the effect of training support.At present,most studies in the field of teacher education have proposed that the current implementation of teacher training in China should meet the needs of teachers' independent development,but most of them are based on specific training items to investigate training needs.The research idea of this article is mainly based on the individual professional development needs of teachers,and explores the following questions: What are the main needs of teachers' professional development needs? Are teachers at different stages of professional development different in their professional development needs? To what extent does the overall training support meet the professional development needs of teachers? How to optimize the overall training so that the teachers' level of knowledge,ability and literacy can be truly improved? Based on these questions,the purpose of this study is to explore the current status,problems,and influencing factors of teachers' professional development needs and training support from the perspective of teachers' own needs,and propose relevant suggestions for optimizing teachers' post-service training implementation countermeasures and improve the quality of teacher training.This research adopts the literature research method,questionnaire survey method and interview method.On the basis of combing the existing research and analyzing the core concepts,this paper proposes a research framework for teachers' professional development needs and training support.Based on the research framework,the author designed a questionnaire for the professional development needs and training support of middle school teachers.In the city of X,1086 middle school teachers were selected for the questionnaire survey.Among the respondents,8 middle school teachers were selected for the semi-structured survey.The Interviews are to explore the extent that the teacher training supports the professional development needs of secondary school teachers.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)The overall degree of professional development needs of middle school teachers is relatively large,and professional development in teaching and subject knowledge is more important,but the teachers don't pay enough attention to the improvement of literacy.(2)There is a significant difference in the degree of professional development needs of middle school teachers in terms of gender,education level,teaching age,disciplines and different professional development stages.(3)At present,middle school teacher training support cannot meet the professional development needs of teachers,and there are differences in academic level,teaching age,disciplines and different professional development stages.Ranking the satisfaction of teacher training support at different stages of professional development from low to high is novice,proficient,mature,and expert.(4)Individual teacher factors,the training organization and management,and the trainers have a significant impact on the extent to which middle school teachers' training support,among which the individual teacher factors have the greatest effect.Finally,on the basis of the research conclusions,this article puts forward reasonable suggestions on how to improve the effectiveness of teacher training support from the perspective of individual teachers and external support for training.
