In the new curriculum standard of senior high school,it is clearly regulated that the core quality of Geography Course in senior high school includes the concept of coordination between human and land,regional cognition,comprehensive thinking and geographical practice.The research on the hot spots,topics and papers related to the cultivation of the core quality of geography has become the pursuit direction of geographical education.As one of the important parts of the core quality of geography,regional cognitive quality is also the highlight of the new curriculum standard reform of Geography Course in high school.It is also the premise for high school students to learn regional geography and an important part of the entrance geography examination.At the same time,it is found that the problem-oriented teaching method plays an important role in promoting the quality of students,but for using the problem-based teaching method there is no literarature found about the core quality of Geography in teaching and training students' regional cognitive quality for the time being,Therefore the author determined this research direction,the Research on the Cultivation of High School Regional Cognitive Ability Based on Problem-oriented Teaching.This article used the methods of literature analysis,questionnaire survey,summary and induction,case design and other research methods to understand the current situation and existing problems of the regional cognitive ability training of high school geography teachers and students in Nanchang,as well as the status quo and existing problems of the application of the problem-oriented teaching method in high school geography teachers and students,explore its causes,and then put forward targeted training strategies.Through the questionnaire survey method,the sophomore liberal arts class of two high schools in Nanchang City and the geography teacher of Nanchang High School were selected as the object of study,on the grounds that the second stage of high school is an important stage of regional cognitive training for high school students.The survey found that the cognitive ability training in high school based on problem-oriented teaching has the following major problems: teachers and students do not know much about regional cognitive ability and problem-oriented teaching;teachers' teaching methods play an important role in the cultivation of students' regional cognitive ability,and the problem-oriented teaching method is the preferred teaching method for students.However,teachers do not know enough about which methods students apply or prefer to improve regional cognitive ability;the effectiveness of cognitive training in high school areas still needs to be improved;students' ability to find problems and solve problems is poor;students' interests are helpful to improve regional cognitive ability;students need lively classrooms,while teachers often use traditional teaching methods.It doesn't attract the interest of the students.In view of these problems,the author's analysis found that the reasons are: class time restrictions,single evaluation methods,the degree of teachers' understanding to students,geography teachers' professional quality and so on.Based on the problems and reasons found in the survey,the following strategies for the cultivation of cognitive ability in high school geographical areas are put forward: using a variety of teaching methods and teaching methods that students like to improve students' geographical interest;teachers should strengthen the awareness of developing regional cognitive ability and learn more about the problem-oriented teaching method;students should develop good learning habits and thinking and enhance the ability to analyze problems;students themselves should cultivate their interest in geography learning,recognize themselves,and communicate with others.Finally,teaching cases are designed and practiced according to these strategies.After practice,students can use regional cognitive ability to solve problems according to classroom observation.Students' ability to find and solve problems is improved.The classroom atmosphere of students' learning enthusiasm is obviously improved.It is hoped that some geography teachers can make better use of question-based teaching to cultivate students' regional cognitive ability.
