Social Work Intervention Study On Adaptation Of Newly Enrolled Orphans From The Perspective Of Ecology

Orphans are vulnerable groups in the society.Compared with ordinary people,orphans have less resources and support.Therefore,our country has a lot of policies to help and take care of orphans,such as the orphan school,it proves various resources and support for orphans,it is the place to grew and learn for orphans.More and more scholars have study on orphan group now,social work intervention about orphans group is becoming more and more deeply,the study of orphan groups are mostly about orphan mentality,orphan interpersonal sensitivity,anxiety,low self-abasement and self-efficacy,mainly focus on the orphan are a long and stable state,there is few attention to orphans' adaptation problem due to just entering the school with the changing environment,Whether orphans can adapt to school life smoothly is important,it affects the health of physical and mental development and development of personality of the orphans,so the adaptation problem of the newly enrolled orphan is worthy of attention and research.In this paper,it takes freshman L of orphan school in J province as an example.After observing and interviewing L,we concluded that L has the following four adaptation problems:interpersonal communication adaptation,life adaptation,learning adaptation and emotional adaptation.From the perspective of ecology,we will focuses on case work,group work is a supplement.Through eight case work interventions and four group work interventions,it improved L's interpersonal skills,so L has the motivation and confidence to build interpersonal relationships with others.In daily life,L can learn the successful life experience of others to apply it to herself,so she can calmly face the changes in daily life.Through the establishment of the study group,L and students can learn from each other,they can supervise each other to improve L's learning efficiency,it can also speed up L's learning progress too.Emotionally,through the in-depth communication with others,L got to know the people and things in the orphan school,and gradually lowered my guard against the new environment,developed a sense of belonging,and successfully adapted to the school environment.Through this study,it can be concluded that the ecological perspective theory is applicable to the solution of L adaptation problem,it can enhance L's ability to interact well with the environment and cope with environmental changes,so as to successfully adapt to the new environment.This study can also provide a reference for the study of adaptability in children and adolescents.The successful application of ecological perspective can contributes to the socialization of orphans individual growth,improves their adaptability and self-confidence,it can also contributes to the effective management of orphans and the maintenance of school order and stability.The further successful application of social work methods in the orphan population is very useful,it has promoted the expansion of the field of social work practice,promoted the recognition and introduction of social work professional services in orphan schools,and provided assistance for the development of orphan undertakings.
