From 2016 to now,the physical quality of primary and secondary school students in China has shown a good development trend,but there are still some problems,the detection rate of poor vision remains high,the detection rate of obesity continues to rise,the younger age and so on.In order to comprehensively promote quality education and enhance students' physique,the state once again promotes the improvement of students' physique to the important position of national development strategy,and focuses on the development of school sports.Since 2001,China has promulgated various policies to implement the traditional sports and new sports simultaneously,and encourage all schools to set up new sports according to the actual situation,which is suitable for the actual development of the school and the participation of students.Based on various national policies,new sports such as dry land hockey,synchronized rope skipping and cricket have been introduced into primary and secondary schools in Shanghai,and some of them have been held in major competitions in Shanghai.But on the whole,there are still many problems in the development of new sports events in primary schools in Shanghai,such as the insufficient participation of students,the development of schools and so on.In order to fully understand the development of emerging sports in Shanghai,this paper will investigate the current situation of primary school students' participation in emerging sports in Yangpu District of Shanghai from three aspects of physical education,extracurricular sports and extracurricular sports,and analyze the main factors affecting primary school students' participation in emerging sports,so as to promote students' participation in emerging sports And new sports can better carry out the corresponding suggestions.This paper mainly uses the methods of questionnaire,literature,mathematical statistics and other research methods,through the questionnaire survey of the third to fifth grade primary school students in 8 primary schools in Yangpu District,Shanghai,and interviews with16 sports department leaders and teachers in 8 primary schools,summarizes the current situation of the primary school students in Yangpu District,Shanghai in participating in the new sports,from the recognition of the new sports This paper expounds and analyzes the time,way and content of knowledge and participation,and analyzes the factors that affect the primary school students' participation in the emerging sports events in Yangpu District of Shanghai.Finally,it summarizes the relevant factors,and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.This study draws the following conclusions:(1)the primary school students in Yangpu District of Shanghai oftenparticipate in the new sports events,which accounts for a large proportion of students,and the participation rate of students is very high;the proportion of male and female students participating in the new sports events is quite similar,there is no significant difference;the participation rate of grade decreases year by year,the number of students in grade three is the most,and the number of students in grade five is the least;the students from eight to ten years old participate in the new sports events The number of sports shows an upward trend with the growth of age,and the participation rate of students after the age of ten shows a downward trend with the growth of age.(2)There are too few emerging sports that students can participate in.The most popular emerging sports are rope skipping,ball skipping and house skipping.The sports that students can choose in PE class are unlimited,with the highest frequency,but with the longest participation time.The sports that students can choose in off campus sports activities are limited,with limited conditions,but with abundant time,so the longest time.(3)Students have fewer opportunities to participate in the emerging sports events every semester;students express strong willingness to participate in the emerging sports events in the future,and only a few students say they will not participate in the future.(4)Students' understanding of emerging sports events is mainly through school teachers and parents,followed by students who are often together,but they don't have enough understanding and deep understanding,only superficial understanding.But they all show great interest and love.The main reason for students to participate in new sports is to improve their physical fitness.(5)The main influencing factors of primary school students' participation in new sports events in Yangpu District of Shanghai are:Students' physiology and psychology,physical education teachers,family environment,school environment,academic tasks and sports ability.(6)The influencing factors of primary school students' participation in new sports events in Yangpu District of Shanghai are different in gender and grade,which are embodied in: gender only has difference in sports ability;grade has difference in academic tasks and school environment.According to the results of the survey,in order to encourage primary school students to participate in new sports and promote the better development of new sports,the following suggestions are put forward:(1)increase the investment of teachers and school hardware facilities;(2)enhance the awareness
