Along with the rapid development of China's economy, family income has gradually shown a certain difference, and the gap between the rich and the poor has further expanded. At the background of a large gap between the rich and the poor, improving social intergenerational mobility is conducive to alleviating the social pressure caused by the widening gap between the rich and the poor and to maintaining social stability. Therefore, relevant research on intergenerational mobility has important practical and social value. The existing researches on social intergenerational mobility are mainly from the perspectives of education, income and occupation.Relevant research with socioeconomic status as a main perspective still needs further developed.Compared with education, income and occupation, the socio-economic status can better reflect the individual's living standard and status. This paper cuts into the intergenerational problems in China from the perspective of socio-economic status, and deeply analyzes the intergenerational mobility from theoretical and empirical aspects.Firstly, create a theoretical model to incorporate the socio-economic status of parents and their children, then inder this research framework, theoretically analyze the intergenerational mobility of China's social economic statusand propose a research hypothesis.Secondly, use intergenerational flow tables and the Altham indicator to measureChina Comprehensive Social Survey(CGSS)data and to calculate China's intergenerational mobility and its characteristics. Then based on the result of above calculation, create OLS,Oprobit, and Ologit models for benchmark estimation, with potential endogenous issues being considered.Thirdly, test the affecting factors of intergenerational mobility and analyze the influence of the social economic status of the parents on the individual's socioeconomic status through the educational mechanism. Finally, test the robustness which the subjective individual and family socioeconomic status will do to the intergenerational mobility. At the same time, test the robustness which parents' education degree will do to the educational mechanism. The birth date and the data survey year are used as a group basis to estimate the socioeconomic status of China.Based on the above analysis, draw the following conclusions. The intergenerational flow from the bottom to the top is difficult to achieve, whereas the flow from the top to the bottom is relatively easy. The long-distance flow appears to solidify, while the short-distance flow is quite strong. The intergenerational inheritance is significantly positive between parents and their children which indicates that there is strong intergenerational transmission in China, low possibility of individual social economic status' jumping, and incomplete achievement of opportunity fairness. The resources transfer mechanismfrom parents to children is mainly divided into two ways: human capital transfer and wealth capital transfer,in which human capital transfer is mainly achieved by affecting individual education level. In order to better analyze the intergenerational transmission mechanism between parents and children, take the individual education to be individual human capitalas the main measure to test the human capital mechanism. It is found that the parents' resources have a significant impact on the individual's education level, but the individual effort is still the main factor in receiving educational opportunities. Therefore,China's intergenerational inheritance is serious and needs attention from all parties. At the same time, the flow mechanism is still smooth, and education is still one of the main ways to improve intergenerational mobility. It is proposed to further strengthen the two-way intergenerational flow of China's social and economic status from the aspects of improving the bottom-up social mobility mechanism, optimizing the education system and increasing political adjustment measures.
