The new round of science and technology revolution and industrial reform with the Internet as the core swept the world rapidly,providing opportunities for China to achieve the leap-forward development of “chasing-running-leading”.At the same time,China is in the critical period of the transformation of old and new kinetic energy,economic restructuring.With the realistic pressure of industrial transformation and upgrading,it is required to accelerate the construction of new engineering majors.As a difficult task with high complexity and complexity in the construction of new engineering,it is particularly urgent and necessary to explore the practical dilemma of the construction of new engineering interdisciplinary major.This research takes the construction of interdisciplinary major of new engineering in colleges and universities as the specific research object,and comprehensively uses the literature research method and case study method to systematically expound the connotation elements and practical characteristics of the interdisciplinary construction of new engineering,combined with the current construction of new disciplines.The practice situation,focusing on the development dilemma encountered in the professional construction process,explains the main reasons for this dilemma.It then introduces the practical experience of construction of interdisciplinary major in two world-class universities,and analyzes the inspirations that can be learned from the interdisciplinary construction of new engineering in China.In summary,some ideas are put forward for the path of the construction of interdisciplinary majors in new engineering in China and the innovative design of supporting systems.The development of the new economy requires that the new engineering department cultivate a new type of engineering talents that are “more specialized and more ability” and serve the industrial transformation and development.It is necessary to speed up the construction of new engineering disciplines as a strong support for talent training.The new interdisciplinary subject of engineering is an important part of the professional structure of the new engineering science.The achievement of its substantive achievements is closely related to its multidisciplinary knowledge,talent training paradigm,curriculum architecture,and faculty structure,and promotes new engineering.The systematic work of interdisciplinary professional construction,and therefore the development of professional construction work can only improve the level of the construction of new engineering interdisciplinary major only by deeply grasping these four construction elements.Comprehensively analyze the practical dilemma of the construction of interdisciplinary disciplines in new engineering,study the authoritative organizational and institutional barriers between disciplines,utilitarian professional orientation,and the existing discipline system to squeeze the interdisciplinary professional development space,to be improved The teacher team is the underlying reason for restricting the construction of interdisciplinary majors in new engineering.Based on the analysis of the status quo and problems of the construction of interdisciplinary majors in new engineering,promote the long-term and orderly construction of new engineering interdisciplinary programs through the following measures.Reform of the Department of Education,the construction of discipline group,building an interdisciplinary platform,diluting organizational and institutional barriers between different disciplines,guided by industrial development and social talent demand,dynamically optimize and adjust the existing engineering professional structure,further implement the autonomy of colleges and universities,through the synergy between government,society,universities,industry enterprises and employers,we will jointly optimize the professional connotation construction of new engineering disciplines,reforming the introduction and appointment system of new engineering teachers,training and development process,assessment,improve the incentive system,and build a high-level teaching team to serve the interdisciplinary research and professional construction of new engineering,supporting interdisciplinary academic systems,resource integration mechanisms,and policy incentives.
