The education problem of left-behind children in rural areas has always been a research hotspot.Once the rural left-behind children entered the university and became the rural left-behind college students,after more than ten years,does the past rural left-behind experience still have an impact on the academic achievements of contemporary college students? How much of the impact? How to influence?In order to answer these questions mentioned above,this paper uses literature research,statistical analysis,comparative research,retrospective research and other methods and techniques to analysis from the perspective of family structure.Meanwhile,the paper extracts 1106 rural left-behind college students' academic achievement questionnaires from 4187 college students in 8 universities and some rural left-behind college students interviews.And the status quo of rural left-behind experiences and academic achievements are described through the in-depth interviews.Then,some analytical methods,such as correlation analysis and regression analysis,are carried out on different variables,and the influence of rural left-behind experiences on college students' academic achievement is explored.Meanwhile relevant university student management policies and suggestions are proposed.First of all,this paper analyzes the demographic characteristics of college students who have stayed in rural areas from the perspective of the demographics of college students.From the three aspects of the left-behind experience,namely,the type of left-behind,the length of left-behind,the starting time of left-behind and its influence,the characteristics of the left-behind students are revealed.From the left-behind experience,the current academic performance,ability development and self-concept development of college students are analyzed in three aspects.The study found that the academic performance characteristics of college students staying in rural areas are as follows:(1)the overall academic achievement of college students is lower than other college students;(2)the rural left-behind students' academic achievement is significantly lower than that of ordinary rural college students;(3)the gender difference is large;(4)The grades are quite different;(5)The disciplinary difference is large.Secondly,based on the survey data of "student achievement status",using SPSS17.0 statistical software,the paper analyzes the influence of rural left-behind experience on the rural left-behind students' academic performance,capacity development and self-concept development from the three dimensions of the type of left-behind,the length of left-behind and the starting time of left-behind.The study found that:(1)family structure has a positive effect on academic achievement,then the reverse inference can prove that the left-behind family structure has a negative effect on academic achievement,so the rural staying experience has a negative effect on academic achievement;(2)the length of left-behind(father works out of home)interaction with parent-child,family support,learning behavior,academic achievement,ability development,and self-concept development are not statistically relevant;(3)rural left-behind experience has a negative effect on academic achievement through the intermediary transmission of family support;(4)family support has an impact on academic performance: a part of the impact of family support on academic achievement is the result of direct effect,and the other part is achieved through the intermediary transmission of learning behavior;(5)the rural left-behind experience has a negative impact on family support through the intermediary transmission of parent-child interaction.Finally,the paper finds that the overall academic level of the rural left-behind students is lower than that of other non-left-behind college students and lower than ordinary rural college students.And then,from the perspective of country,society,college,family and student,this paper puts forward some suggestions on how to improve the academic guidance of rural left-behind college students,strengthen the psychological care of rural left-behind college students,and increase the life support of rural left-behind college students.
