The era of knowledge explosion has brought many challenges to education and teaching.To meet these challenges,new curriculum standards and unified Chinese textbooks have made corresponding changes and innovations.The "activity-inquiry" unit is a great innovation in the unified edition of Chinese textbooks,it is the first attempt since the independent establishment of Chinese in 1904.This attempt has aroused the research enthusiasm of educators,who either analyze and apply the design concept of "activity-inquiry" unit,or conduct unit teaching practice and reflection.Although many people have analyzed and explored the "activity-inquiry" unit,no one has sorted out the "activity-inquiry" unit as a whole,and as a new type of course,how to effectively teach is still an urgent problem to be solved.The unit of "activity-inquiry" carries the course standard spirit,attaches importance to the overall teaching philosophy,focuses on the comprehensive development of Chinese proficiency,and is committed to promoting the transformation of learning methods,especially highlighting the characteristics of inquiry and activity in learning.In content,it has changed the traditional organization unit,orchestration task system,model system,knowledge system and educational system.On the whole,it shows the characteristics of task-based learning,inquiry-based learning and contextualized activity,which highlights the value to the teaching subject and society,and also shows the teaching call for students' knowledge construction ability and rational thinking ability,which provides a realistic basis for the application of critical thinking in the unit of "activity-inquiry".Because inquiry activities are inseparable from thinking development,especially learning activities with cooperation andinquiry as the main learning methods,it is more necessary to develop and improve students' thinking ability,especially their critical thinking ability.Critical thinking is a combination of knowledge,skills and tendency.It is a series of analysis,construction and development process based on question consciousness and reflective consciousness,based on certain thinking standards and thinking elements,aiming at developing individual thinking ability and cultivating rational attitude.Critical thinking is related to logical thinking and creative thinking,but different from each other.Critical thinking has the characteristics of fairness,rationality,reflectiveness,openness and constructiveness,as well as the value of knowledge,morality and tools.Apply critical thinking to "activity-inquiry" unit teaching,not only can help students to further improve the cognitive style,improved analytical tools,construction of meaning system and thinking system,at the same time can cultivate the students' ability to innovate,develop academic spirit.But in the process of application,we should pay attention to follow the principle of gradual,harmonious and appropriate and moral.Choosing the most appropriate elements and standards of critical thinking,problem solving and critical reflection on knowledge,ability points to integrate into the teaching of "activity-inquiry" unit,attempts to construct "activity-inquiry" unit based on critical thinking teaching system.This is an effort made in this study,and future research will be devoted to its practical verification and improvement.
