Autism is a pervasive neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by deficits in social and emotional interactions and limited,repetitive behavior patterns,interests,or activities.Social disorder is one of the core disorders of autistic patients,which seriously hinders their integration into normal life.For children with autism,difficulty in peer communication is the main manifestation of their social disorder.Studies have found that peer guidance is an effective intervention to improve peer communication in autistic children.Peer guidance method,it is to point to an autistic children with one partner matching,training prior to her companion,professor ways and strategies to improve autistic children who are(hint,guidance,demonstration,practice,etc.),followed by peers as guides in the learning,games and other campus activities in accordance with the requirements for training guidance for children with autism.This study adopted the form of A single subject experiment(a-b-a '-b'),selected A child with moderate mental retardation in grade 7 of A special education school as A peer mentor,and guided A child with autism in grade 5to conduct peer communication,aiming to explore the effectiveness of peer guidance to intervene in the peer communication of children with autism.The results show that: with peer guidance,the peer communication of autistic children has been significantly improved in the following aspects:(1)the initiation and response times of peer communication have significantly increased.The case has basically mastered the method of communication initiation and can also respond to peers accurately and timely.(2)the duration of peer communication was significantly prolonged.The individual mastered the skills of maintaining interaction with others,learned to share and share objects,and maintained consistency with the group.(3)more diversified peer communication strategies.On the basis of action as the main strategy,the frequency of speech,imitation and eye gaze were significantly increased.(4)communication success rate is significantly improved.In the process of interacting with his peers,the individual basically starts and ends according to his own will and achieves the purpose of communication.In addition,the study also found that the peer guidance method not only effectively improved the individual's peer communication,but also improved the overall atmosphere of the class,forming a good atmosphere of mutual help.It also further improves the instructor's social skills to understand social distance.
