| The number of children with autism has increased dramatically in recent decades.Because of the great differences among individuals,the rehabilitation education of autistic children is facing great challenges.One of the core barriers for autistic children is social interaction.As autistic children face more difficulties in social interaction,it is very necessary for them to learn and use social skills.Social story method is a relatively novel intervention method,which is represented by cognitive training,among the existing social skills intervention methods for autistic children.It can make full use of the visual learning advantages of autistic children.The purpose of this paper is to use the social story teaching method to intervene the related social skills of moderate autistic children and explore its effectiveness,and to put forward relevant suggestions combined with the problems existing in the education of autistic children.To begin with,in this study,based on the practice in the rehabilitation care center,a qualified child with moderate autism is selected as the subject,the cross behavior multi-baseline design in the single subject research is adopted,and the experimental data are collected by combining observation method and interview method.In addition,the three stages of baseline,expectation and maintenance are used of the experiment,the four goal behaviors in the social skills required by the subject,including seeking help,sharing snacks,responding to others and greeting actively,are taken as the dependent variables of this study.The four target behaviors of the subject are considered as the independent variables of this study.The data collected after the experiment are quantified by visual analysis and c-statistics in simplified time series analysis,and its social validity was analyzed and described,so as to conclude the following conclusions comprehensively:1.There are differences in the immediate effect of social story method on the social skills of children with moderate autism,the social story method has good immediate effect on seeking help,responding to others and greeting actively,but not on sharing snacks.2.There are differences in the maintenance of the effect of social story method on the social skills of children with moderate autism,the social story method has a good maintenance effect on seeking help and responding to others,but not on sharing snacks and greeting actively.Finally,based on the above conclusions,the intervention effect and the influencing factors of the social story method are analyzed and discussed by the researcher,and the following suggestions are put forward for the future related teaching and research:1.The appropriate presentation of social stories should be selected according to the characteristics of autistic children.2.To improve the ability of teachers in special schools to use social story method.3.The generalization effect of social story method should be explored,which can be tried in different situations.4.The intervention time of social story can be extended appropriately. |
