841 students from a high school,Xiangyin County,Yueyang City,Hunan Province were selected as research subjects in this study. The subjects were investigated using Stressors Scale for Middle School Students,The Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale,Social Support Rating Scale and Chinese Perceived Stress Scale. The data collected were analyzed by independent sample t test,one-way ANOVA,correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The following results are obtained:(1)The dimension of learning stress has the highest score of high school students' stressors. Some dimensions have significant differences in demographic variables such as gender, grade, place of origin and parents' marital status.(2)Resilience of high school students is at a middle level. The scores of boys are significantly higher than those of girls in terms of total scores and different dimensions(3)The level of social support of high school students is above the average.Boys' score is significantly higher than girls in the dimension of objective support while girls' score is significantly higher than boys in the dimension of utilization of support.Level of senior high school students has significant difference in grade variables, and the score decreases from grade one to grade three. The level of subjective support of students whose parents are stable in marriage is significantly higher than that of students whose parents are divorced or remarried. The level of utilization of support of child with siblings are significantly high than only child.(4)The level of perceived stress of high school students is above the average.Girls' perceived stress level is significantly higher than boys'.On the dimension of tension, the scores of senior three students are significantly higher than those of senior one and senior two students.(5)There is a significant positive correlation between stressor intensity and perceived stress in high school students.(6)There is a significant negative correlation between high school students' resilience and perceived stress in terms of aggregate score and different dimensions.(7)There is a significant negative correlation between high school students' social support and perceived stress in terms of aggregate score and different dimensions.(8)There is a linear relationship between stressor, resilience, social support and perceived stress.Stressors play a significant positive predictive role in perceived stress, resilience and social support have significant negative predictive effects on perceived stress. On the basis of these results,a conclusion is drawn: High school students' stress mainly comes from learning and their physical and psychological changes;high-intensity stressors will lead to the increase of high school students' perceived stress level, while improving students' resilience and social support level will reduce their perceived stress level.
