Project-based learning is a Chinese learning paradigm with the basic characteristics of classic reading,autonomous cooperation,thematic exploration,reading-writing integration,and multiple evaluations.Huanxian County in Gansu province is an old revolutionary area,which has rich red revolutionary cultural resources.Transforming these high-quality resources into Chinese teaching material,designing and conducting project-based learning can help to cultivate students' Chinese core competency,and to understand and inherit the fine revolutionary tradition.Adopting the basic method of action research,this study first collects and arranges the revolutionary hero deeds,site and relic,literary works,telegrams and ballads in the red revolutionary culture of Huanxian county.,second designs the project-based learning with the red revolutionary cultural resources,and then implements it in practice teaching,observes and reflects during the teaching process,and last improves the design of project-based learning according to these reflections.The study results show that: For the students,first,the project-based learning of red revolutionary culture can effectively promote the accumulation and construction of students' language,and make flexible use of it in language practice.Second,it can develop students' logical thinking ability and improve their thinking quality.Third,through this study,students' sense of mission in reminiscing martyrs,worshiping heroes and inheriting revolutionary spirit can be enhanced.Finally,it also can cultivate students' awareness of spreading their hometown red revolutionary culture and participating in the construction of contemporary culture.At the same time,for the teachers,this study of project-based learning has a positive and beneficial impact on teachers' academic literacy and educational research abilities.
