John Locke,a famous British educator,once pointed out: "Nothing can enter people's hearts as gently and deeply as an example".The role model is both a mirror and a banner,The huge influence of example has made example-based education practice activity,that is,example education,an important method and approach for citizen moral education in China.Model education,as a common method and important organizational form of ideological and political education in China's universities,is to use the special carrier of example to make abstract and boring political theory,moral standards,and behavior codes become vivid and concrete,so as to stimulate college students.However,in today's society,diverse values and idolatry are prevalent,young college students have outstanding personality,active thinking,and courage to explore,value orientation shows a trend of diversification,resulting in model education in ideological and political education in colleges with difficulties and poor results.For example,role model education has become increasingly ineffective in various aspects of role model establishment,promotion,and learning;the process of role model education is limited to the surface and is in the form;role model education has been impacted by idols,which has gradually reduced the role model recognition.Therefore,under this situation,how to deal with the problems existing in the model education of college students in our country,and how to effectively implement the model education of college students to meet the requirements of the moral quality of college students has become an urgent task for this issue.This article is based on Marxism and other related theories,and It is the starting point to study the problems and causes of role model education in China,to improve the effectiveness of role model education.Specifically,this paper is divided into five parts:The introduction part mainly uses the literature method,from the theoretical level,to explain the background of the topic selection,the current status of domestic and foreign research,research ideas and research methods.The first chapter is the basic overview of the thesis.Based on a systematic analysis of the meaning,characteristics,and types of role models,the meaning,characteristics,and types of role model education are also analyzed in depth,and the concepts related to role models are analyzed.The secondchapter is a theoretical discussion on the effectiveness of role model education.On the basis of combing Chinese and Western researches on role model education and related researches,the value of role model education is discussed.The third chapter analyzes the current situation of example education in China.Through multi-angle,comprehensive,and in-depth research,a systematic and in-depth analysis is made on the current status of role model education for college students in China,the problems existing in the implementation of role model education,and the causes of problems.The fourth chapter is thinking about the countermeasures to improve the effectiveness of the role model education of Chinese college students.According to the value of the effectiveness of role model education,combined with the status quo of role model education,from the perspective of the establishment and promotion of role models,the optimization of the role model education environment,and other important measures to enhance the effectiveness of role model education.
