With the rapid development of information technology,network teaching has become a new mainstream teaching form.However,at present,the development of network teaching still takes the expansion of teaching time and space and the sharing of teaching resources as its main characteristics instead of going deep into the study of teaching connotation.According to constructivism learning theory,cognitive essence is the process of active construction of schema.Teaching essence should assist the construction of individual schema and realize the transmission of tacit knowledge.Therefore,the new generation of network teaching should study how to realize the teaching mode supporting tacit knowledge based on the network environment,and cultivate learners' metacognitive ability.Among them,how to evaluate learners' cognitive ability in network teaching is the core and key of the research,and also the basis of the implementation of the new network teaching model.Firstly,this paper studied the constructivism learning theory and the connotation of tacit knowledge to provide the theoretical basis for the model construction.Next,combined with the new knowledge expression model supporting tacit knowledge,the concept and expression method of cognitive ability were defined.The related factors of cognitive ability evaluation were deeply studied from the perspective of model knowledge and its combination relationship.On this basis,the cognitive ability evaluation model for network teaching was proposed.Then the characteristics and advantages of CART algorithm were analyzed and the trend prediction method of learners' cognitive ability based on CART algorithm was proposed.Finally,the cognitive ability evaluation model was implemented in the existing prototype system of network teaching and its feasibility was preliminarily verified.The preliminary application of learners' cognitive ability trend prediction in network teaching was completed through the training and testing of learners' relevant data.The results showed that the cognitive ability evaluation model for network teaching and its application in trend prediction of cognitive ability have better evaluation and prediction abilities.
