In recent years, cancer has increasingly become a high-risk and multiple disease, which poses a great threat and challenge to terminal cancer patients and their families. With the continuous advancement of hospice care services, the important role of services for terminal cancer patients and their families has become increasingly prominent.Social workers,as direct providers of hospice care services and resource linkers of hospice families, play an important role in hospice care.Through reviewing the relevant literature,it is found that most scholars focus on dying patients, but ignore the psychological changes and needs of patients' families.Family members of patients will fall into the symptoms of physical and mental exhaustion in the long-term care, which will directly affect the quality of care of dying patients because they can not get the chance to release and breathe. Therefore,it is particularly urgent for social workers to provide breathing services for the families of dying patients. This paper takes the case service of J pension institution as an example, focusing on the family caregivers of terminal cancer patients, using semi-structured interviews, participatory observation and literature analysis to collect data, and explores the difficulties faced by family members of terminal cancer patients and their sources of pressure from physical, psychological and social perspectives, aiming at analyzing the needs of family members of terminal cancer patients to provide them with breathing opportunities. The study found that the family members of the dying patients mainly face physical pressure, psychological pressure, ethical and moral pressure, economic difficulties and other problems. The author combines the two modes of home wheezing and institutional wheezing to carry out wheezing services for the family members of the dying patients. The results show that we should provide practical humanistic care services for the family members of the dying patients mainly from the following aspects: relieving negative emotions, strengthening reverse care, expanding resources channels, improving care skills, strengthening family resilience, carrying out breathing care, and carrying out the best farewell.
