In the middle school Chinese textbooks,the interpretation and teaching of Lu Xun's works have always received much attention."Social Drama" is one of Lu Xun's works that was selected into Chinese textbooks earlier.As for how to determine the core teaching value of such a classic work,the academia and linguists have been studying and discussing,and there are endless articles presented.This paper intends to build on the basis of previous studies,and selects three sets of typical middle school Chinese textbooks from People's Education Press since the founding of the People's Republic of China.From the four aspects of the background of the textbook,the concept of writing,the style of writing,and the content of writing,it is found that the teaching content and teaching value reflected in the three sets of textbooks are different.The 1956 and 1978 edition focus on the interpretation of literary works and the political needs,they also focus on the study and training of Chinese knowledge,embodying the characteristics of Chinese "instrumentality".The 2016 edition not only focuses on language knowledge but also on humanistic connotation,and embodies the unity of Chinese “instrumentality”and“humanity”.In addition,the author has also compiled a number of published teaching cases of "Social Drama",which are divided into teacher-based lesson cases and student-based lesson cases.Through comparative research,it is concluded that the transition from traditional reading method to the student-based inquiry method is gradually seen in the teaching process.Finally,in the form of a questionnaire survey,we find that the situation of Lu Xun's works in middle school teaching is getting better and better.This paper uses literature research method,vertical analysis method and comparative research method,taking dozens of academic papers on "Social Drama" as the theoretical basis.combing the teaching value of "Social Drama" from three aspects: textbook compilation,teaching practice and students' learning situation.It is concluded that teachers should base themselves on texts and focus on cultivating students' aesthetic ability,lead students into a real Lu Xun,and ultimately stimulating students' interest in reading,forming a group reading.The author hopes that this paper can provide some referencesuggestions for today's classroom teaching of "Social Drama".
