The new geography curriculum standard of junior middle school puts forward higher requirements for the cultivation of practical innovation ability,but there is still a gap between the current geography activity teaching system and the requirements of the new curriculum standard.Therefore,this paper adopts the methods of literature research,questionnaire,case analysis and performance evaluation to study the junior middle school geography activity teaching of cultivating practical innovation ability.This study starts with the research status of geography activity teaching and practical innovation ability at home and abroad,and then through questionnaires to understand the current situation of junior high school geography activity teaching in Fuzhou middle schools to cultivate practical innovation ability,analysis shows that cultivating students' practical innovation ability is weak.Combining the three dimensions of practical innovation ability,this paper puts forward the activity concept suitable for junior middle school geography activity teaching,that is,integrating theory with practice is the carrier of cultivating labor consciousness,deepening cooperation and inquiry is the ladder to help solve problems,and innovative communication is the bridge to improve technology application.In addition,combined with the relevant theories of geography activity teaching,it is proposed that the cultivation of practical innovation ability in junior high school geography activity teaching should follow the principles of subjectivity,ease and moderation,practicality,innovation and operability.According to the curriculum standards,the geographical activities of the first volume of the seventh grade of the People's Education Press,which are suitable for the cultivation of practical innovation ability,are divided into geographical mapping activities,geographical operation activities and geographical art activities.Then,according to how to use geography activity teaching to cultivate practical and innovative ability,four strategies are put forward: participating in classroom drawing activities,optimizing and expanding innovative application;experiencing teaching aids production activities,strengthening problem solving and inquiry;trying to simulate experimental activities,cultivating daily labor skills;devoting themselves to emotional art activities,focusing on cooperativeinnovation and improvement.Combining with the application strategy proposed,the case of geography activity teaching is implemented concretely,and the practical effect of the students in the educational probation class is evaluated.It is concluded that the geography activity teaching in junior middle school can effectively cultivate the students' practical innovation ability.Finally,the innovation of this paper is to strengthen the training objective of practical innovation ability on the one hand,and pay more attention to the design of diversified evaluation methods on the other hand.
